Bend Spay & Neuter Project Looking for Warm Springs Volunteers

This week, the Bend Spay and Neuter Project brought its services to Warm Springs. Executive Director Megan Gram says they spayed and neutered 35 dogs in Warm Springs on Tuesday, the first monthly visit for the Project to the reservation.  Gram says they are still looking for local volunteers.  They are most in need of one more Laundry Angel, someone who is willing to take laundry home, wash it and bring it back to the next clinic.  They are also in need of volunteers to come out for set up and break down on clinic days. For this position they need people who can lift and clean crates. And, if there is an interest, they also have a few positions open in the clinic which would require someone to be there for the entire day. These positions would be learning how to recover dogs after surgery and helping the medical team. Gram says the onsite training would be great for someone interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine! Interested volunteers can get more information on the website bend snip dot org. October 4th is the next scheduled clinic in Warm Springs.
