WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is rejecting the Trump administration’s highly unusual bid to get the justices to intervene in the controversy over protections for hundreds of thousands of young immigrants. The justices on Monday refused to take up the administration’s appeal of a lower court order that requires the administration to continue accepting renewal applications for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA.

Cle Elum Fish Passage Facilities in Washington state are digging a 110 feet deep hole near Lake Cle Elum to help bring Sockeye fish back into the Yakima Basin, where they have been absent for the past century due to the development of the basin. The Cle Elum Fish Passage Facilities is a $200 million project funded by the State Department of Ecology and Bureau of Reclamation, which will allow salmon to cross over the Cle Elum Dam. The project started in 2015 and is now in phase two. Phase two is expected to be completed by the end on this year, and the entire project will be done by 2024.

Both Madras basketball teams are officially in the 4A State Playoffs after the boys defeated Tillamook in a play-in game on Friday. With the win, Madras advanced to the first round of the playoffs. They will be play at 3pm on Saturday at Banks. The Madras girls led the Tri Valley Conference this season and are hosting a Round 1 game this Friday night at 7:00 at the Buffalo Dome.
