Youth sports camps on Sundays will begin today in Warm Springs. The free camp offers agility training and open gym time for all youth ages 9-18 every Sunday through April 19^th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the old elementary gym.

Thrive Central Oregon can help connect people to local resources they are looking for – such as housing, healthcare, basic needs, benefits assistance, employment and more. There are many resources in Central Oregon, but they can be difficult to access alone. They have drop-in hours in Warm Springs and Madras once a week. Tuesdays they are available at the Warm Springs Housing Authority from 9am-noon and 1-3pm. Thursdays they are at Jefferson County Public Health 10am until 3.

Warm Springs Housing Authority has mailed out update forms to everyone on their waitlist. The “Statement of Continued Interest” must be filled out and returned no later than 4pm on January 30^th. Failure to do so will result in removal from the Housing waitlist. If you haven’t received your update in the mail, contact the Housing office.

There is a Boil Water Notice for the Simnasho/Schoolie Flat Water System in effect until further notice. When there is a boil water notice, you need to bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using. Or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food. Simnasho residents can get drinking water from Three Warriors Market and also at Warm Springs Emergency Management’s Water Distribution center at 1116 Wasco Street.  Their hours are 9:00am-4:00pm daily. 2026 Lincoln’s Powwow is February 13-15 at the Simnasho Longhouse. Grand entry times are 7pm Friday, 1pm Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday. Specials will include a Men’s 18+ All Around Honoring Beloved Powwow Member Jermayne Tuckta, a Women’s 18+ Pathlapa Special by the Slockish Family honoring Suzie Slockish and a Men’s 18+ Chicken Dance Special by the Boise Family honoring Triston Boise. The 59^th Annual Warm Springs All-Indian Men’s Holiday Basketball Tournament is on January 22-24 at the Community Center. Entries are due January 14^th. Contact Austin Greene at 541-553-3243 for more information.

The Miss Warm Springs Pageant will be held on Saturday, January 24^th. They are seeking women age 18-24 who are interested in being a candidate. The pageant is set for January 24^th at 10am at the Agency Longhouse.
