Funeral Arrangements for Tina Aguilar – Today (Feb. 4) there will be a viewing at 9:30am at the Agency Longhouse. Church services will be held with burial at 11am at the Agency Cemetery.
Funeral Arrangements for Lillian Rose Heath – Today (Feb. 4) at 10am they will depart from Spencer Libby & Powell Funeral Home in The Dalles to Simnasho Longhouse. A viewing will be done at 11:30am, followed by 3 Sevens of Washut Services and then proceed straight to the Mouth of the River for burial.
Funeral Arrangements for Virgil Eli Culps – Thursday (Feb. 5) they will depart Bel-Air Funeral Home at 12:30pm to the Agency Longhouse for the dressing at 1. All denomination services will start at 7pm with services overnight. Friday (Feb. 6) they will leave the Agency Longhouse at 8am for burial at Simnasho Cemetery.
Today’s Tribal Council agenda has been cancelled. All cancelled briefings will be rescheduled.
Shawnetta Yahtin is holding a Talking Circle this morning in the Health & Wellness Center atrium from 9-10am. Light snacks will be provided.
The Warm Springs K8’s Native American Student Union for 6th, 7th & 8th grade students will meet today during the lunch period the Community Room.
Warm Springs K8 Girls Basketball teams have home games this afternoon vs. Sisters and Girls Wrestlers travel to Culver.
The Papalaxsimisha Native American Student Union at Madras High School will meet today afterschool in Mr. Kollen’s class (room 17).
On the Madras High School athletics schedule today – Boys & Girls Wrestling teams have meet at La Pine High School.
Today at ECE – It’s Wear Pink Wednesday for Daycare & Head Start classes. There’s a Head Start Policy Council meeting today at noon. And there’s a Graduation Parent Meeting tomorrow (Feb. 5) from noon to 1. They will cover themes, meeting dates & fundraising ideas.
There is a senior lunch today at noon at the Warm Springs Senior Center dining area. Senior meals are free for all elders age 60 and older. Folks can join the seniors for lunch – it’s $1 for Youth, $5 for adults or you can assist with clean-up after the meal.
Seniors age 60 and older can get free meals Wednesdays at noon at the Jefferson County Senior Center in Madras.
Warm Springs Prevention will present Opioid Information & Narcan Training tomorrow (Feb. 5) and on February 19th 6:30-8pm in the old school cafeteria. Food & Drinks will be provided.
Art Adventure Gallery invites the public to an opening reception for its latest exhibit featuring the work of Mike Kelly. It’s tomorrow (Feb. 5) 4:30-7pm at the gallery located on 5th Street in Madras.

Youth sports camps are held every Sunday in Warm Springs. The free camp offers agility training and open gym time for all youth ages 9-18 and will be held Sundays through April 19th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the old elementary gym.
A Suicide Awareness Wild Horse Race Clinic in White Swan, WA is planned for April 25th and 26th. It’s open to individuals and teams, juniors age 6-12 and seniors 13-19. Books will be open both days until 9am. For more information, call or text Nate at 971-900-2069.
The Warm Springs Community Action Team is now scheduling tax appointments. It will be drop-off tax preparation. Pick up an envelope at the WSCAT office and appointments will be made for Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 9th.
HDFFA is seeking new members for the Food Security Advisory Committee (FSAC), with a particular focus on recruiting community members from the Warm Springs area. Anyone who has participated in Veggie Rx, the Fresh Harvest Kit program, or is passionate about food access work is encouraged to apply. The committee invites community members to provide feedback and help improve our food access programs. Members commit to three virtual meetings a year and at least 1.5 hours of program support, with optional in-person events. A stipend of $30/hr, up to $180 total, is available for those who meet participation requirements.
