Pacific Power – Wildfire Update 07/28/26

Pacific Power has sent out an email to customers this afternoon updating them on the power situation.

Pacific Power has sustained damage to their distribution and transmission lines from recent wildfires in the Warm Springs area, leading to ongoing power outages for some customers.

In coordination with response partners, they are currently making damage assessments and repairs. So far, damage to 5 transmission poles and 12 distribution poles have been identified and the poles will need to be repaired or replaced. Their teams will continue assessments this afternoon.

Repairs on both transmission and distribution equipment have started and are estimated to take until midday Thursday.

They encourage customers to be prepped for a prolonged outage, potentially lasting multiple days as they work to assess and repair their system.

Communication will continue with Pacific Power and their customers when more info becomes available, including info on restoration times.
