Funeral Arrangements for  Viola (Yahtin) Govenor.  Tomorrow (Monday October 5th)  They will have a  2pm Departure from BelAir Funeral Home in Madras for the Simnasho Longhouse.  A viewing will be at 3pm.  Following dinner there will be Open Denomination and Washut Services.  Burial is Tuesday at 8am at the Simnasho Cemetery.

Today is Tribal Day at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort. Tribal members, spouses, residents, and employees get a complimentary resort pass for swimming and land activities plus a 50% discount on cabana rentals, 25% off of food in the restaurant and 10% off of items in the pool clubhouse store.

The Metolius Friends Food Pantry at 575 Hood Ave is open today from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The Madras-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is coordinating local Candidate Forums. Tomorrow at 6:30pm there will be a forum for Madras City Council candidates at the Madras Performing Arts Center. People need to submit questions for the candidates for consideration to MadrasChamber@gmail.com before the events.

Native American Program Legal Aid Services of Oregon (NAPOLS) will be in Warm Springs this Monday and again November 2nd from 9am to noon at the Community Action Team office. Appointments are available by calling 541-668-8352. Walk-ins are also welcome as time allows. Legal Aid Services of Oregon is a non-profit law firm that offers free civil legal services to low-income people.

The Community Center is having a Halloween costume exchange on Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 in the social hall.

The Warm Springs Johnson O’Malley Committee’s next scheduled meeting is this Tuesday, October 6th 5:15-8pm in conference room at the Early Childhood Education Center. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. If you need to contact the JOM Committee email JOM@wstribes.org.

Division of Child Support employees will be in the Warm Springs once a month DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be this Tuesday, October 6th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome. The 2027 Warm Springs Tribal Employee Open Enrollment Period runs from October 1st through the 29th. Enrolling in an Allegiance Flexible Spending Account lets you set aside tax-free dollars from your paycheck to pay for out-of-pocket medical costs or eligible child care expenses. The Community Center is hosting a spooky season Halloween movie night on Thursday, October 8th. The event starts at 5:30 until 7 and free snacks will be provided.
