A last-minute Sacred Thunder youth basketball Camp in Warm Springs will take place today and tomorrow (Saturday & Sunday) at the Warm Springs Community Center. Both Days – the 4th thru 7th grade session is 9am until 11am and the 8th thru 12 grade camp is noon until 2pm.

Following camp each day – the Buffalo Nightwalkers 3 on 3 tournament will be held.  Saturday is for ages 12 and under.  Sign up at 3 with games starting at 3:30. Sunday is for ages 13 to 18. Sign up at 3 with games starting at 3:30.  There ae 4 age divisions – all Co-Ed with at least 1 girl per team.

Warm Springs Housing Authority reminds its tenants that for after hours and weekend emergencies, they should call Warm Springs PD Dispatch at 541-553-1171 and request Housing’s on-call service. Emergencies include a broken water line, sewer backing up, any electrical issues and kicked-in exterior doors. All other non-emergency work orders can be taken care of the next business day.

The Simnasho Longhouse will host a Christmas Dinner this Sunday December 28th at 12:30pm.

 This Sunday (12/28) is Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Day at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort. Tribal Member discounts include free admission for day use, half off of all cabana rentals, 25% off all food purchases and 10% off of pool house store items. Tribal Appreciation Day is tomorrow from 11am to 7pm.

The Four Columbia River Tribes set a Commercial Sturgeon Setline Fishery for The Dalles and John Day Pools from 6am Thursday, January 8th through 6pm Saturday, January 17th and for the Bonneville Pool January 19-29. These are for setlines only.

NARA Northwest invites everyone to its 38th Annual New Year’s Eve Sobriety Powwow at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland December 31st. There’s a youth powwow with fun & games at 1:00, dance exhibition at 4:30 and the Powwow Grand Entry & NARA NW Honorings begin at 6pm. The Sobriety Countdown starts at 9:30.

  • 2 Positions, Tribal & Non-Member for Warm Springs Power & Water Enterprise Board
  • 3 Positions, Tribal & Non-Member on the Telco Board of Directors
  • 2 Positions on the Waterboard
  • 2 Member & Non-Member positions on Warm Springs Credit Board of Directors

Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume & signature on a criminal/credit background check to the office of the Secretary-Treasurer no later than 5pm on January 16th.

 The Maternal Child Health or MCH program at the Health & Wellness Center offers car seats for each new child born, home visits, prenatal and postpartum support, and breastfeeding support.  Clients can also have assistance with car seat installation checked with Sheryl Lopez at community health.  If you are IHS eligible you can call 541-553-2352 or stop by the MCH Office in the Community Health side of the Clinic in Warm Springs.
