The Simnasho Longhouse will host a Christmas Dinner today at 12:30pm.
It’s the second day of a last-minute Sacred Thunder youth basketball Camp in Warm Springsat the Warm Springs Community Center. The 4th thru 7th grade session is 9am until 11am and the 8th thru 12 grade camp is noon until 2pm. Following camp today – a Buffalo Nightwalkers 3 on 3 tournament will be held. Yesterday was for ages 12 and under and today is for ages 13 to 18. Sign up at 3 with games starting at 3:30. There are 4 age divisions – all Co-Ed with at least 1 girl per team.
Today from 11am to 7pm is a Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Day at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort. Tribal Member discounts include free admission for day use, half off of all cabana rentals, 25% off all food purchases and 10% off of pool house store items. Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Days at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot are offered on the first and last Sunday of each month.
Free drinking water is available every Monday to Warm Springs community members at the Hydro Panel Facility, located next to the old Vehicle Pool building in the Industrial Park. Stop by Mondays between 8am and 5pm.

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Program helps Native Americans with disabilities by providing services, support and plans for successful employment. Voc Rehab is accepting new clients and welcomes folks to drop by their office to pick up an application at 1110 Wasco Street in the Education Building. For more information call 541-553-4952.
The Warm Springs Emergency Management Office provides COVID-19 home test kits, masks and hand sanitizer to community members. Their office is at 1116 Wasco Street – the blue and white trailer next to the old school. It’s open 8am to 5pm. Water Distribution for households is available for pickup weekdays from 9-4:00. Ring the doorbell for service.
The Fix Ticks Program provides quick, easy, and completely free flea and tick medicine to families on the Warm Springs reservation. Visit Fix Ticks dot ORG https://fixticks.org/ and complete the short request form. The medicine will be mailed directly to you.
OSU Extension Service in Warm Springs is having a Food Preservation Class for you to learn how to make and preserve homemade barbecue & marinara sauces. It will be on January 22nd at 10am in the Old School Cafeteria. Space is limited and you need to reserve a spot by calling 541-553-3238 or email sara.olson@oregonstate.edu.
The Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center continues to have telephone issues. They are working closely with their phone company to fix the problems which include calls dropping or not ringing in. They have some alternate cell phone numbers for each department. These numbers are permanent. If you have trouble reaching the clinic through the main numbers, please use the alternate cell phone contact. The alternate number for Administration is 541-965-1465, Dental 541-965-3080, Medical Desk 541-965-1712, Optometry 503-913-3402 and Pharmacy Refills 541-325-6777.
