Funeral Arrangements for Roma David –Departing the Agency Longhouse this morning at 5am for burial at the Simnasho Cemetery.

The Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center will be closed on Thursday June 11, 2026, for staff training.

At the Senior Center – Senior Fitness Class is cancelled today.

The Community Wellness Center has Sandlot Softball every Thursday at 10am at the Pi-ume-sha Field. Everyone is welcome to join them for slow-pitch softball games and music every Thursday during summer break.

Wellness of Warm Springs is hosting a lunch meeting today from 12-1 at the old Warm Springs Elementary Cafeteria.  Men’s Wellness is the health education topic with guest speakers: Joe Law & Kevin Seyler from the IHS Portland Area Office.  The meal will be a Father’s Day BBQ.

SriPonya Collective / Youth in Progress will have a summer kick-off event today from noon to 3 for youth and families. They will have games, music, and food in the parking lot behind their building at 29 SE D St in Madras.

  • The Madras Community Food Pantry will be open 10am to 1pm today. It’s located on the Culver Highway.
  • The Life Raft Food Pantry located at 401 5th Street in Maupin serves the surrounding areas by providing food at no cost to the community Thursdays from 10AM – 3PM.
  • The Dufur School Pantry is open to students and community members Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm in the Home Ec Room at Dufur School.
  • The Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry on Emigrant Street in Wamic is open on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1-4pm.

A public meeting for information about CCDF will be held Thursday, June 11th at 5:30 at ECE. A light meal will be provided.

The Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club is closed today and tomorrow for staff training. The summer program starts on Monday.  It will run weekdays 8-5. No meals will be provided in June. Youth must bring their own breakfast & lunch. The 509J Summer Meals Program will start on July 6th. The club will be closed on June 19th for the Juneteenth Holiday.

The MountainStar Resource Bus providing diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center tomorrow  from 10:30-2:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month. For more information call 458-287-1080. Division of Child Support employees will be in the Warm Springs once a month DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be on Tuesday, July 7th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome. The first Thursday Market of the summer is coming up one week from today from 10:30am – 2pm at the Campus Pavillion.  Vendors are welcome to come set up.  It’s first come, first service for available tables and chairs.  Many of our local bead & craft artisans will be set up along with programs like the IHS pharmacy, OHSU & Head Start.  The High Desert Food and Farm Alliance will have 30 free fresh harvest kits for folks.  At the first market the Rooper Rand from Redmond will be selling produce and the Jefferson County Library will have free books.  Contact KWSO if you have any questions about the Market and we will see you on June 18th!

Nature Kids outings for kids and families explore the wonders of the natural world at a local park. Each outing includes a hands-on activity. Nature Kids is offered on the third Saturday of the month through October at Sahalee Park in Madras. The next outing is Saturday, June 20th 10:30-noon. The theme is Wild Inventors! All Nature Kids are free and ideal for families with kids ages 5-10. Registration is helpful but not required. Visit DeschutesLandTrust.org to learn more.

Registration for Redmond Youth Tackle Football is open online at www.RedmondYouthFootball.org. The fall program is for youth in 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grades.

The 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Day Powwow is June 26, 27 & 28 in Warm Springs. It will include the annual individual & team dance competitions, a grass dance special and many other specials. Other Pi-Ume-Sha activities include a traditional dress parade, stick game tournament, rodeo, and endurance horse race. There is no softball tournament this year.
