Funeral Arrangements for Chief Rafael Queahpama – Today (6/17) they will depart from Autumn Funeral Home in Redmond and go to the Simnasho Longhouse for dressing. All-denominational services will follow. There will be overnight Washut Services and a midnight meal. Thursday morning (6/18) they will leave the longhouse at 7 for burial at the Simnasho Cemetery and return to the longhouse after.

• The Warm Springs Vital Stats office in the Tribal Administration Building is closed on Wednesdays to allow staff to address a backlog of work. This schedule will remain in effect through July 8th.  The best way to contact Vital Stats is to stop by (except on Wednesday) or email vitalstats@wstribes.org.
• The Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club summer program is open weekdays 8-5. No meals will be provided in June, so youth should bring their own breakfast & lunch. The 509J Summer Meals Program will start on July 6^th. The club will be closed this Friday (Jun 19) for the Juneteenth Holiday.
• The Behavioral Health Center in Warm Springs offers an A&D Education Group every Wednesday morning at 10 and it is open to anyone. Classes for current BHC clients on Wednesdays are Parenting at 11am, Adult Anger Management at 3 and a Men’s Focus Group at 4. Contact the BHC office for more information.
• The Sacred Road Summer Program for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade is happening this week behind the Warm Springs Community Center from 3-5pm. No registration is necessary, kids can just show up.
• Warm Springs Tribal Court will be holding a mandatory Jury Orientation this afternoon at 4 at the Tribal Court House. All prospective jurors are asked to check in at the front desk.

The first Thursday Market of the summer is tomorrow (Jun 18) from 10:30- 2 at the Campus Pavillion.  Vendors are welcome to come set up.  It’s first come, first serve for available tables and chairs.  Anyone interested in running the concession stand for a fundraiser can sign up for its use by contacting Isaac George at the Family Resource Center.  For any other questions, contact KWSO.  Stop by the KWSO table this week and get a child size Root Digger T-shirt!  We look forward to seeing you Thursday!

There’s a graduation banquet for 2026 Warm Springs high school, GED and higher education grads tomorrow (Jun 18). It’s from 5:30-7:30pm at the Community Center. The evening will include an honor ceremony, meal and gifts. The Employee Appreciation Carnival will be held this Friday (Jun 19) from noon to 3 at the Campus Pavilion. This event is for tribal and enterprise employees only, so please bring your employee‑issued ID. It will have music, booths with games & snacks and Prevention/Health & Human Services are providing a BBQ for employees. Raffle drawings begin at 2:30, and you do not need to be present to claim a prize. The day will conclude with a basketball showdown at 3.

Legends Reloaded, an event coming up this Friday & Saturday (Jun 19-20) at the Jefferson County Event Complex, will feature tributes celebrating some of rock’s most iconic artists. It’s an all-ages event and kids 12 & under can attend for free. You can find out more about tickets online at LegendsReloaded.com.

COCC is offering a GED class at the Madras campus Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7:20pm beginning next week 22. GED Prep helps to Improve skills in reading, writing, speaking, and math for college credit classes, the GED exam, and work. Register on the COCC website.

A Warm Springs Tribal Community Energy Fair will be held Tuesday, June 23^rd 9am to 3pm at the campus pavilion. There will be interactive activities & giveaways, tips, info on the Tribes’ current & potential energy projects, plus raffle prizes, free meals provided by local food carts and home efficiency & weatherization supply giveaways.

A Treaty Day BBQ, courtesy of the CTWS Tribal Council, will be held on Thursday, June 25. The Council will barbecue hamburgers and hotdogs.  It will start at 11 and continue until the food runs out at the Community Center Pavillon.

The 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Powwow is June 26-28 in Warm Springs. Grand entry times are Friday at 7, and Saturday & Sunday at 1. For powwow information contact Robinson Mitchell 541-325-2968. Vendors can contact Sharon Katchia 541-295-6046.

Treaty Days Indigenous Rez Boxing is coming up Saturday, June 27^th 8am to 8pm. It will take place at the old VFW compound on Hollywood Blvd. For information call Austin Smith Sr. at 541-325-2798.

The Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts and Oregon State University are accepting submissions for the PRAx Open, a juried exhibition showcasing original artwork from across Oregon. Artists are invited to submit traditional, emerging, or new‑media works that reflect the landscapes, cultures, histories, and communities of the places they call home. Central Oregon Community College is offering free youth camps in July & August for ages 10-15 at the Madras campus.
