All local Tribal Government offices will remain closed all day today due to the Level 3 fire evacuation order currently still in effect for the Seekseequa and Agency Areas of Warm Springs. This afternoon, Tribal Leadership will assess the fire threat and evacuation level to determine if Wednesday local offices will resume normal work hours.  The Indian Health Services Clinic will also remain closed on Tuesday.

For anyone who has evacuated or with needs, due to the wildfires – you can go to the Old School Cafeteria for assistance or call Emergency Management at 541-419-8094.

For the rest of this week, the 509J summer programming at Madras & Bridges High Schools and Madras Elementary will run from 8am-1pm. Transportation will not be available to families if your child’s bus stop is located within a level 2 or 3 evacuation zone. Call the school if you are planning on using a different bus stop for pick up and drop off. Parent pick up and drop off is also welcome at each site. Students will get breakfast and lunch during the program.

The Warm Springs Police Department has temporarily contracted with Frontier Regional 911 to assist with dispatch during overnight hours. Frontier is handling all 911 and emergency dispatch services for the Warm Springs PD between the hours of 6pm and 6am. During these hours, community members who need non-emergency assistance from the police department should call 541-384-2080.

An Emergency Water Conservation Order is in effect until further notice for Culpus Ranch, Sunnyside, Wolfe Point, Dry Creek, Industrial Park, Miller Heights, Campus, Highway 26 corridor, Greeley Heights, Trailer Courts, Tenino Apartments, Tenino Valley, West Hills. A Boil Water Notice is also in effect due to the conservation order. This is precautionary, due to possibility of low or no water pressure in the water system.

Tenants of Warm Springs Housing Authority who require emergency repairs after hours or on weekends/holidays need to contact Warm Springs PD Dispatch and request Housing’s on-call service. A qualifying emergency service would be a broken water line, backed up sewer, any electrical issues and kicked-in exterior doors. All other non-emergency work orders can be taken care of on the next business day.

The Madras Community Food Pantry at 370 SW Culver Highway is open 10-1 today.

Medical Teams International will host a free urgent dental clinic in Madras today from 9-2 at the Madras Shelter. They can do x-rays, extractions and fillings. Space is limited – call for appointments 971-710-8603.

Kah-Nee-Ta Resort is giving free admission today through Thursday for Warm Spring & Madras residents for a break from the fires between the hours of 11am to 7pm. The resort is also offering half-price River Adventures.

Funeral Arrangements for Garland Brunoe – All denominations are welcome to a viewing this Wednesday, July 29th from 1 until 3pm at the Redmond Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be at Agency Cemetery with details to be announced in 3 weeks.
