- Greeley Heights Neighborhood Yard Sales are happening today and tomorrow. Look for balloons at participating homes.
- The Madras Saturday Market is happening today starting at 9 and going until 2:00 at Sahalee Park. It is open to local vendors – visit SaturdayMarketMadras.com of find them on Facebook & Instagram for more information.
- The Simnasho Tribal Market is open Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 2pm through Labor Day weekend, by the Simnasho Longhouse. Tribal Vendors are welcome and visitors are encouraged.
- The Young Adults in Transitions Drop-In Center in Madras is open to people between 14 and 25 years old to hang out, build connections, and get help with next steps in life. It offers support for: mental health & well-being, education & career planning, employment readiness, housing resources, healthy relationships, budgeting & financial literacy, life skills—and so much more. It’s open Wednesdays & Saturdays, 3-7PM for youth ages 14–18 who are currently in school and Saturdays, 10AM–2PM for young adults ages 18–25 not in school. It’s located at: 241 SW 6th Street, Madras.
The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs is advertising vacancies on 3 boards – 1 position on the Credit Board, 1 position on the Cannabis Regulatory Commission and 2 positions on the Warm Springs Local Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume and signed criminal & credit background check form to the office of the Secretary-Treasurer at the Tribal Administration Building by 5pm on Monday, August 10th.
The August Drummers Jammz Social Powwow at the Warm Springs Community Wellness Center is on Wednesday, August 12. There is a potluck at 5:30 in the social hall and then the powwow starts at 6:30 in the gym. All drummers and dancers are welcome.
A Fish & Wildlife Memorial Dinner has been set for Tuesday, August 18th at the Hehe Longhouse. It will start at 5pm with 1 seven, followed by dinner and a brief giveaway. This is a release for hunters and fishermen for the upcoming seasons due to the recent losses of chiefs and relatives serving on the Fish & Wildlife Committee.
ECE Daycare Admissions Packets for the 2026-27 School year are now available. Daycare admissions will be first come, first served. Currently, there is no school age program. We have links to the admissions packets on today’s online Community Calendar. Parents & guardians will need to download the Brighwheel app to complete packets. ABBAcadabra: The Ultimate ABBA Tribute Concert will take place on Friday, August 21st at General Duffy’s Waterhole in Redmond. Doors open at 6pm with music at 8:30. Proceeds benefit the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Wildfire Recovery Fund and Thrive Central Oregon. Ticke details are available at GeneralDuffys.com.
The Back to School Yard Sale at the Community Wellness Center is on Friday, August 21 from 9am to 3pm. Tables are limited and you can reserve one at the Rec office.
