Just a reminder that the Boil Water Order for the Agency Water System has been lifted. The water conservation order was also cancelled however everyone is encouraged to be water wise and not waste water.
Friday is Senior Lunch Day in Warm Springs. Free meals for elders 60 and older are from noon to 1 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in the Senior Wellness Center dining room.
Free meals for seniors 60 and older are served every Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday at the Jefferson County Senior Center at 860 SW Madison St in Madras from 12-1.
The Metolius Friends Food Pantry is open to all on Fridays from 4-6pm at 575 Hood Ave. You do need to bring your own bags.
The Food Bank at the Warm Springs Commodities warehouse is open today from 10am to 1pm.
The Reservation Impact Free Food Market is this afternoon at 3:30 at the Commodities Building. It happens on the 2nd Friday of the month.
The Range & Agriculture Committee is scheduled to meet this morning from 9 to noon at the BNR Cougar Den. The committee meets twice per month on the 2nd and 4th
The MountainStar Resource Bus providing diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center today 10:30-2:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month.
Every Friday, Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center has a Relapse Prevention Group for current clients at 11am. In the afternoon, Art + Emotion Group with Dr. Largent is from 3-4pm and Wellbriety Group Therapy is from 4-5pm. These afternoon groups are open to the public.

The Wyam Youth Center’s first Indigenous Youth Fashion Show will be this evening at the old elementary school gym. Dinner is at 5, and the show opens at 6. Everyone is welcome!
Nature Kids outings for kids and families explore the wonders of the natural world at a local park. Each outing includes a hands-on activity at Sahalee Park in Madras. The next outing is tomorrow 9:30-11am. The theme is Teddy Bear Picnic! All Nature Kids are free and ideal for families with kids ages 5-10. Registration is helpful but not required. The Humane Society of Central Oregon will have a free pet wellness clinic in Warm Springs tomorrow from 10am until 2pm. The walk-in clinic will be at Fire & Safety on campus – appointments are not needed. Pets can get a wellness exam, vaccinations, microchip and dewormer medication.
The Wasco County Fair has been cancelled this year due to the Grasshopper Fire concerns.
A Celebration of Life for Keith Baker will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 2pm at the campus pavilion. A potluck and giveaway will follow a short memorial service. Keith Baker was a tireless advocate for veterans and worked with youth in Warm Springs for many years teaching search and rescue.
A Celebration of Life for Dr. Yvonne Stevenson who passed away in May, will be held tomorrow at 1pm at the Madras Performing Arts Center. Dr. Stevenson was a long time health care provider in Warm Springs and Madras.
A Fish & Wildlife Memorial Dinner has been set for Tuesday, August 18th at the Hehe Longhouse. It will start at 5pm with 1 seven, followed by dinner and a brief giveaway. This is a release for hunters and fishermen for the upcoming seasons due to the recent losses of chiefs and relatives serving on the Fish & Wildlife Committee.
Warm Springs Prevention is hosting the Wings Track Meet on Tuesday, August 18th at the Warm Springs K-8 Track. Registration kicks off at 5pm, and events get underway at 6. There are age divisions for—2 to 5, 6 to 9, and 10 and up. Every participant gets a t-shirt and a medal.
