A boil water notice has been issued for the Agency Water System now until further notice due to a 6 inch water main break.  Any time there is a disruption to the water distribution system, a boil water notice must be issued and will remain in effect until water testing is done and result s come back giving the okay to cancel the notice.

The Warm Springs K8’s first monthly assemblies of the school year are today in the gym and will celebrate character trait awards, student of the month, and great attendance. The 3rd-5th Grade assembly is from 8:15-8:45am. The assembly for Kinder-2nd Grade is 9:00-9:30am. A 6th-8th Grade assembly is from 10-10:30.

Warm Springs Recreation’s Fall Round Up Yard Sale is happening today in the front courtyard at the Community Center from 9-3.

The Reservation Impact Food Pantry at 4217 Holliday St in the Warm Springs Industrial Park is open from 10-1 today.

Friday is Senior Lunch Day in Warm Springs.  Free meals for elders 60 and older are from noon to 1 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in the Senior Wellness Center dining room.

Warm Springs Nation Little League needs volunteers to help clean up the softball and baseball fields this Saturday and again next Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Bring any useful tools, equipment or skills.

The 2027 Warm Springs Tribal Employee Open Enrollment Period runs through October 29th. A local group is holding weekly rallies to help energize local voters. They are gathering every Saturday morning from 10:30 to noon at the North Y in Madras to encourage community participation in the upcoming general election. These weekly rallies will run through October 31st. Everyone is welcome to join.

The Madras Aquatic Center Recreation District Board is hosting a listening session on Saturday (10/3) from 11am to 12:30pm at the Jefferson County Commissioners meeting room located at 66 SE D Street in Madras. You are invited to attend and share what you’d like to see for the future of MACRD.

The “All Pathways of Recovery” potluck & speaker meeting will be held this Saturday (10/3) from 5-7:30pm at the Recovery Community Center, located at 43 NW Cherry Lane, Suite 104 in Madras. Bring your favorite dish or side if you would like to – it is not required. The Recovery Community Center is for adults 18 and older. This is a community recovery event and is not affiliated with AA, NA or any specific recovery fellowship.

Next week, the Community Center is having a Halloween costume exchange on Tuesday (10/6) from 4:30-6:30 in the social hall. On Thursday (10/8) they are hosting a spooky season Halloween movie night. The event starts at 5:30 until 7 and free snacks will be provided.

The Museum at Warm Springs is calling for artwork for the 33rd Annual Tribal Member Art Exhibit showcasing Tribal Member Adult & Youth artists. The deadline to submit art for judging is Tuesday, October 20th at 5pm. The deadline for “display purposes only” is Tuesday, October 27th at 5. The exhibit will go on display on November 18th at the opening reception set for 5:30-7:30pm. Art supplies for youth will be provided, while supplies last, at the reception.
