Early on Friday May 5, 2017 power went out in Warm Springs. Around 1:24am a flash of lightning was followed by darkness for most all of the Agency Area of the Reservation. Pacific Power and Light estimates more than a thousand people are without power and hope to restore it by 4:30am.
Lightning lit up the sky for most of the evening along with hail in some locations. Warm Springs was peppered with intense thunderstorm activity just past 1am for about an hour.
The National Weather Service expects scattered showers Friday morning followed by Partial Sunshine and temperatures not as hot as the past couple of days.
