Warm Springs Sanitation will be picking up Wednesday & Thursday garbage routes today. There will be no collection on Thursday. They will be back on regular schedule Friday.

The Tribe will close early today at noon and be closed tomorrow for New Year’s Day.

The Museum Closed will close at noon today and be closed tomorrow.

The 12^th Annual Warm Springs Cougars Christmas Co-ed Basketball Tournament is coming up Thursday through Sunday, January 1-4 at the Community Wellness Center. Teams are for 8- and under; 10- and under; and 12- and under.

NARA Northwest invites everyone to its 38^th Annual New Year’s Eve Sobriety Powwow at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland today. There’s a youth powwow with fun & games at 1:00, dance exhibition at 4:30 and the Powwow Grand Entry & NARA NW Honorings begin at 6pm. The Sobriety Countdown starts at 9:30.

Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Days at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort are offered on the first and last Sunday of each month. Tribal Member discounts include free admission for day use, half off of all cabana rentals, 25% off all food purchases and 10% off of pool house store items. Included in your day pass is – use of all 7 pools and cold tubs, mini golf, pickleball, basketball, bocce ball, spike ball, 4-square volleyball and interactive video games. The next Tribal Appreciation Days are coming up Sunday, January 4^th and January 25^th. Kah-Nee-Ta also offers daily Tribal Member discounts and amenities for day and twilight passes, cabana rentals, Spa Wanapine, overnight lodging, the Tribal Picnic Pavilions and Tribal Bathhouse. 2026 Lincoln’s Powwow is February 13-15 at the Simnasho Longhouse. Grand entry times are 7pm Friday, 1pm Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday. Specials will include a Men’s 18+ All Around Honoring Beloved Powwow Member Jermayne Tuckta, a Women’s 18+ Pathlapa Special by the Slockish Family honoring Suzie Slockish and a Men’s 18+ Chicken Dance Special by the Boise Family honoring Triston Boise. The Four Columbia River Tribes set a Commercial Sturgeon Setline Fishery for The Dalles and John Day Pools from 6am Thursday, January 8^th through 6pm Saturday, January 17^th and for the Bonneville Pool January 19-29. These are for setlines only.

The Jefferson County Community Learning Center will begin offering Kindergarten Families Language Classes Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy. Teachers Deanie & Ange will teach Ichishkiin and Kiksht for kinder students and their families. The first class is Tuesday, January 6^th. To register call 541-553-1563.

Youth sports camps on Sundays will begin on January 11^th. The free camp offers agility training and open gym time for all youth ages 9-18 every Sunday through April 19^th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the old elementary gym.
