The winter routine is in full swing for Warm Springs Families. We wanted to place school and ECE information in a handy spot in case you haven’t quite finished jotting dates on your 2026 calendar.
Remember for Eagle News from the Warm Springs k-8 Academy – you can listen to KWSO 91.9 FM weekday mornings at 7:10am.
This Month’s Character Trait at the K8 is “Growth Mindset”. You can have growth mindset by understanding
what you are good at and what you struggle with. You can believe in yourself and not give up. When
something is hard – keep a positive attitude and tell your self “I don’t know it yet – but I will get it.” It’s
okay to seek answers to problems and to learn from your mistakes. And always – ask for help when
you need it.

During the month of January students will be taking their mid year assessments. Families can
support students by making sure they get a good night’s rest. Kids should make sure to eat
breakfast. Ask your student how testing is going and offer positive feedback encouraging kids to do
their best!

Whenever there is inclement weather or if something disrupts the regular school day – the Warm
Springs K8 will offer updates using the 509J school district’s communications platform. Families
should make sure contact information is up to date with the school office so you can be sure to get
the updates. There will also be updates posted to the district website and the Warm Springs K8
Facebook Page. For weather delays or closures you can also listen to KWSO or check out their
website at KWSO dot ORG and the KWSO Facebook Page.

For kids to be able to learn as much as they can – it’s important to be at school on time every day and
to attend for the entire school day. School opens at 9:15 am on Mondays and begins at 9:30 am. On
Tuesday – Friday school opens at 7:45 am and begins at 8:00 am. The end of the school day is at
2:50pm.
—
There are 2 no school days in January. Mark your calendar for January 19 th – that is the Martin
Luther King Junior holiday and January 30 th – that is a teach grading day.
