Today at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy, 4th grade classrooms have their Seeds Of Discovery field trip.
The K8’s monthly assemblies to recognize students for Character Trait Awards, Student of the Month, Perfect Attendance and Class Awards are today. 8:15-8:45 will be the 3rd-5th Grade assembly. 9:00-9:30 is the Kinder-2nd Grade assembly. And 10:00-10:30 will be the 6th-8th Grade assembly.
The Food Bank at the Warm Springs Commodities warehouse is open today from 10am to 1pm.
Every Friday, Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center has a Relapse Prevention Group for current clients at 11am. In the afternoon, Art + Emotion Group with Dr. Largent is from 3-4pm and Wellbriety Group Therapy is from 4-5pm. These afternoon groups are open to the public.
Warm Springs’s Head Start’s End of the Year Celebration is today. They’re having a BBQ lunch at 11:30 and outdoor play from noon until 2. Families should make sure to send extra clothes for outdoor fun.
Friday is Senior Lunch Day in Warm Springs. Free meals for elders 60 and older are from noon to 1 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in the Senior Wellness Center dining room. Today they are serving vegetable beef stew, whole-wheat bread & canned fruit.
Free meals for seniors 60 and older are served every Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday at the Jefferson County Senior Center at 860 SW Madison St in Madras from 12-1.
The Warm Springs K-8’s 8th Grade Promotion is this afternoon from 1:30-2:30 in the gym. 8th grade families are encouraged to join in the celebration. A small reception will follow the assembly in the cafeteria.
The Sacred Road Kids Program is back in Warm Springs for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade behind the Community Center. It’s from 3-5pm today and includes games, crafts, snacks and bible story. No registration is necessary, kids can just show up. They will have the program every other week through the end of July.
The last middle school dance of the school year at the K-8 Academy is today from 3-4:30 pm. The cost to attend is $5. They will have a DJ and each student will receive an ice cream sundae, bottle of water, and their yearbook. Students who do not attend the dance will get their yearbook on Monday, June 8th.
The Metolius Friends Food Pantry is open to all on Fridays from 4-6pm at 575 Hood Ave. You do need to bring your own bags.
The Bridges High School Graduation Ceremony is today at 5:30pm at the MHS football field. The Madras High School Graduation Ceremony is on Saturday (Jun 6) from 10:30-12 at the football field.
Festival of the Land is happening this Saturday (Jun 6) at The Cove Palisades, Crooked River Day-Use Area from 10am-2pm. Admission & parking are free. Folks can enjoy hands-on activities, demonstrations, local vendors and live music.
The Warm Springs Presbyterian Church is inviting people to join for worship on Sunday at 10am. There will be a potluck and food following the worship services.
The 5th Annual “Honoring All Head Start to College Graduates” Warm Springs Community Parade is this Sunday (Jun 7) starting at 11am. It will start at the old elementary and end at the Community Center. Show your support by lining the parade route to cheer on the graduates. Decorations will be provided for those who need them. Gas cards will be given to the first 20 vehicles
This Sunday (Jun 7), at 11:00 AM is the 3rd Annual Pink Duck 5K at the Athletic Club of Bend to help end human trafficking in Central Oregon. This family-friendly event raises funds for the Teens Against Trafficking program. Whether you join the “Pink Duck Challenge” in person or participate virtually, your involvement helps spread awareness and provides youth with the tools to stay safe. ECE Head Start Graduation Day is Tuesday, June 9th starting at 10:30am at the Agency Longhouse.
SriPonya Collective / Youth in Progress will have a summer kick-off on Thursday, June 11th from noon to 3 for youth and families. They will have games, music, and food in the parking lot behind their building at 29 SE D St in Madras.
KWSO’s Thursday Market will be back at the Campus Pavilion on Thursdays from 10:30am until 2pm starting June 18th and going through September 10th. This is a chance for community engagement for programs and organizations plus a small business opportunity for local vendors. - The 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Day Powwow is June 26, 27 & 28 in Warm Springs. It will include the annual individual & team dance competitions, a grass dance special and many other specials. Registration for Redmond Youth Tackle Football is open online at www.RedmondYouthFootball.org. The fall program is for youth in 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grades.
The summer reading program at the Jefferson County Library is open through August 31st. Youth ages 0-18 are invited to participate. Youth will earn a prize for registering and also for reading 120 minutes each week, completing a weekly challenge and a grand prize for 960 minutes of reading! Register online at jcld.org.
