Warm Springs K-8 3rd grade students have their field trip to Sullivan’s Pond today.
June Senior Pension Checks are in process and should be good to go on schedule. Anyone who still has questions about their May Senior Pension Check can stop by or call Vital Stats at 541-553-3252.
The Warm Springs Vital Stats office in the Tribal Administration Building is closed on Wednesdays to allow staff to address a backlog of work. This schedule will remain in effect through July 8th. The best way to contact Vital Stats is to stop by (except on Wednesday) or email vitalstats@wstribes.org.
On today’s Tribal Council Agenda – at 9am, the Pi-Ume-Sha Committee and 11am Rest Area Project Discussion. This afternoon from 1:30-3:30 will be Tribal Member Concerns.
Shawnetta Yahtin is having her monthly Talking Circle this morning from 9-10 in the Health & Wellness Center atrium. Light snacks are provided.
The Behavioral Health Center in Warm Springs offers an A&D Education Group every Wednesday morning at 10 that is open to anyone. Classes for current BHC clients on Wednesdays are Parenting at 11am, Adult Anger Management at 3 and a Men’s Focus Group at 4. Contact the BHC office for more information.
There is a senior lunch today at noon at the Warm Springs Senior Center dining area. Senior meals are free for all elders age 60 and older. Folks can join the seniors for lunch – it’s $1 for Youth, $5 for adults or you can assist with clean-up after the meal. Today they will serve baked halibut, spaghetti squash, roasted veggies & fresh fruit.

The Sacred Road Kids Program is back in Warm Springs for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade behind the Community Center. It’s from 3-5pm today through Friday and includes games, crafts, snacks and bible story. No registration is necessary, kids can just show up. They will have the program every other week through the end of July.
Social Dance Classes are held Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm in the Community Center Aerobics Room. Classes are open to all ages, and no sign-up is required. If you have questions, contact Deanie Johnson at Culture & Heritage.
The Culture & Heritage Committee meets twice each month on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. It will meet from 3:30-7pm today at the Education Building.
The kindergarten through 5th grade Egg Drop at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy is tomorrow (Jun 4). Families are welcome to watch. Here are the egg drop times: 10:30-11 Kindergarten, 11:40-12:10 4th Grade, 12:30-1 5th Grade, 1-1:30 3rd Grade, 1:30-2 2nd Grade and 2:15-2:45 1st Grade.
Tomorrow (Jun 4) is the 21st Century Club After School Program’s last day. They are hosting a Family Engagement Field Day from 4:00-5:20 pm. They are seeking volunteers for this event. If community members are interested in volunteering, contact Angi Grubbs, Site Coordinator, at 541-553-1563.
This Friday (Jun 5) will be Warm Springs K8’s monthly assembly where the will recognize students for Character Trait Awards, Student of the Month, Perfect Attendance and Class Awards. 8:15-8:45 will be the 3rd-5th Grade assembly. 9:00-9:30 is the Kinder-2nd Grade assembly. And 10:00-10:30 will be the 6th-8th Grade assembly.
The Warm Springs K-8 Academy’s 8th Grade Promotion is this Friday (Jun 5) from 1:30-2:30 in the gym. 8th grade families are encouraged to join in the celebration. A small reception will follow the assembly in the cafeteria.
The Bridges High School Graduation Ceremony is this Friday (Jun 5) 5:30-7:30pm at the high school football field. The Madras High School Graduation Ceremony is on Saturday (Jun 6) from 10:30-12.
The 5th Annual “Honoring All Head Start to College Graduates” Warm Springs Community Parade will be on Sunday, June 7th starting at 11am. It will start at the old elementary and end at the Community Center. Show your support by lining the parade route to cheer on the graduates. Decorations will be provided for those who need them. Gas cards will be given to the first 20 vehicles
The Community Wellness Center is taking signups for its Wilderness Warriors Hiking Club. Throughout the summer break they will host a series of 8 trail hikes, both on and off the reservation. The club is for participants 10 and older. They are currently doing hikes every Monday & Tuesday for local trail hikes to prepare for the longer summer hikes. ECE Head Start Graduation Day is Tuesday, June 9th starting at 10:30am at the Agency Longhouse.
Legends Reloaded, an event coming to the Jefferson County Event Complex June 19-20, celebrates the music of rock’s most iconic artists. The 2026 lineup features tributes to Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Tom Petty, Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Bad Company, Hall & Oates, the Doobie Brothers, and The Allman Brothers Band. High Desert ESD STEM Hub and COCC will host a STEM Camp June 22-25 9:30-2 each day at the COCC Bend & Madras campuses. It is open to current 6th and 7th graders and transportation is provided to/from Warm Springs each day is provided. It’s free to students in Jefferson County & Culver. A Warm Springs Tribal Community Energy Fair will be held Tuesday, June 23rd 9am to 3pm at the campus pavilion. The event will include interactive energy-focused activities & giveaways, tips, educational opportunities, info on the Tribes’ current & potential energy projects and more. Raffle prizes, including e-bikes & kids-only giveaways, free meals provided by local food carts & home efficiency & weatherization supply giveaways will be available on a limited basis.
The 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Health Fair is on Wednesday, June 24th 9am to 1:30pm on the front lawn of the Warm Springs Community Wellness Center. Everyone is welcome. There will be health screenings, community resources, and all kinds of giveaways.
Jefferson County School District 509J is accepting registrations for its 3-week summer acceleration program. Transportation will be provided to students who need it and meals will be served to all students. Due to a large construction project at Warm Springs K-8 Academy, students who attend the K8 will attend the summer program at Madras Elementary School. K-8 students who attend Madras, Buff & Metolius Elementary Schools and Jefferson County Middle School will attend the summer program at Bridges High School. 9th Grade Strong Start students and Grade 10-12 Credit Recovery programs will take place at Madras High School. The Programs will run July 20 – August 6 from 8:15am – 3pm. Register on the school district’s website.
“Red, White & Blue, This Fair is For You” is the team of the 2026 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo, which runs July 22-25 at the Jefferson County Event Complex in Madras. Carnival tickets go on sale June 1st at El Torito Supermarket. Entertainment includes 11 live bands, music bingo, Jefferson County’s Got Talent and more. The NPRA Rodeo will be Friday & Saturday at the fair. Admission to the fair is free, but it does cost to get into the rodeo – $15 for adults, $7 for ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 & under.
