Pi-Ume-Sha 2026

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs host the annual Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days to commemorate the historic signing of the Treaty of 1855, which established the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon.

The treaty ensures vital sovereign rights to fish, hunt, and gather on ancestral lands.

Pi-Ume-Sha was founded in the late 1960s by community leaders to honor Native Military Veterans and to educated the public about Tribal History.

Held the end of June each year, at the Pi-Ume-Sha Powwow Grounds, behind the Warm Springs Community Center – the event brings together drummers and dancers with: a 3 day powwow,  a traditional parade, a rodeo, and other events plus vendors set up with food, jewelry, beadwork, and other items for sale.  All activities are open to the public.

Pi-Ume-Sha week has associated activities as well.  Here is a listing of What’s Going On Pi-Ume-Sha Week 2026:

• Tue 6/23 – Energy Fair, 9am-3pm – Campus Pavilion
• Wed 6/24 – Health Fair, 9am-1:30pm – Community Center
• Thu 6/25 – Thursday Market, 10:30am – 2pm, Campus Pavilion + CTWS Holiday for Treaty Day = Tribal Council Treaty Day BBQ – 11am at the Community Center Pavilion
• Fri 6/26 – Powwow Grand Entry, 7pm – Pi-Ume-Sha Grounds behind Community Center
• Sat 6/27 – Endurance Race, 8am – near the Shaker Church + Parade, 11am – Campus to Community Center + 8am-8pm Treaty Days Boxing – Old VFW Hall + Youth Rodeo, 1pm – Rodeo Grounds + Powwow Grand Entry, 1pm – Pi-Ume-Sha Grounds,
• Sun 6/28 –  Rodeo, 1pm – Rodeo Grounds + Powwow Grand Entry, 1pm – Pi-Ume-Sha Grounds
