• Quartz Creek Concessions is having a fundraising food sale this morning from 7-10 in the Warm Springs Market parking lot. They are selling pancake plates, bacon rice bowls and baked goodies. This is a fundraiser for Taniyah Scott-Spino for her upcoming softball tournament.
• Free Summer Meals Today: Wrap up the week with a free breakfast and lunch. Meals are open to all youth up to age 18 today at the Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club (8:15–9:00 AM / 11:00–11:45 AM) and Bridges High School (7:45–8:45 AM / 11:15 AM–12:30 PM).
• Today is the final day of the youth basketball camp at the Youth Center gym from 9:15-11:30am.
• The Food Bank at the Warm Springs Commodities warehouse is open today from 10am to 1pm.
• The MountainStar Resource Bus providing diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center today from 10:30-2:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month. For more information call 458-287-1080. • Every Friday, Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center has a Relapse Prevention Group for current clients at 11am. In the afternoon, Art + Emotion Group with Dr. Largent is from 3-4pm and Wellbriety Group Therapy is from 4-5pm. These afternoon groups are open to the public.
• Friday is Senior Lunch Day in Warm Springs. Free meals for elders 60 and older are from noon to 1 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in the Senior Wellness Center dining room. Today is the monthly senior cookout and it’s “surf & turf” plus pasta salad & potatoes, cold drinks and fresh fruit.
• The Sacred Road Summer Program for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade is happening this afternoon from 3-5 behind the Warm Springs Community Center. No registration is necessary, kids can just show up. They will have the program every other week through the end of July.
• The Metolius Friends Food Pantry is open to all on Fridays from 4-6pm at 575 Hood Ave. You do need to bring your own bags.

Nature Kids outings are for kids and families to explore the wonders of the natural world at a local park with a hands-on activity. Nature Kids is offered on the third Saturday of the month through October at Sahalee Park in Madras and there is an outing tomorrow morning (7/18) 9:30-11am. The theme is Insect Olympics! All Nature Kids are free and ideal for families with kids ages 5-10. Registration is helpful but not required. Visit DeschutesLandTrust.org to learn more.

There’s a Community Prevention Fair tomorrow (7/18) from 11am to 3pm in the front lawn of the Behavioral Health Cetner. They will have inflatable bouncy houses, face painting, balloon making and family entertainment.

A Summer Skateboard Exhibition at Elmer Quinn Memorial Park is coming up tomorrow (7/18). It will start at 10am and will have vendors, informational stands, door prizes and family-friendly events for skaters, spectators, families and the whole community. Bring your own chairs. This is an alcohol & drug free event.

“Red, White & Blue, This Fair is For You” is the theme of the 2026 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo, which runs next week July 22-25 at the Jefferson County Event Complex in Madras. Entertainment includes 11 live bands, music bingo, Jefferson County’s Got Talent and more.   The NPRA Rodeo will be Friday & Saturday at the fair. Admission to the fair is free, but it does cost to get into the rodeo – $15 for adults, $7 for ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 & under. You can visit JCFair.fun to get more details.

Division of Child Support employees are in Warm Springs once a month at the DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be on Tuesday, August 4th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome. The summer reading program at the Jefferson County Library is open through August 31^st. Youth ages 0-18 are invited to participate. Youth will earn a prize for registering and also for reading 120 minutes each week, completing a weekly challenge and a grand prize for 960 minutes of reading! Register online at jcld.org.

2026-27 Warm Springs Head Start enrollment is open now at the Early Childhood Education Center. Contact Family Services at ECE to learn more.
