- The Simnasho Tribal Market is open Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 2pm through Labor Day weekend, by the Simnasho Longhouse. Tribal Vendors are welcome and visitors are encouraged. You can contact Howie Patt or Delson Suppah to learn more.
A Columbia River Zone 6 Commercial Gillnet Fishery will open at 6am Monday, July 6th to 6pm Wednesday, July 8th. Gear can be set and drift gillnets with a 7-inch minimum mesh size.
There is a Tai Chi class tomorrow (7/6) from 6-7pm in the Community Center aerobics room. It’s free and all skill levels are welcome.
A free legal clinic will be held in Warm Springs tomorrow (7/6) from 9am to noon at the Warm Springs Community Action Team building. Services include help with wills, estate planning, expungement, tenant and employee rights, domestic violence protection, and public benefits for those who qualify. To make an appointment, call 541-668-8352. Walk‑ins are welcome, but wait times may vary. The clinic is provided by the Native American Program of Legal Aid Services of Oregon. There will also be clinics August and September.
The Plateau Travel Plaza is having a private soft grand opening event for Warm Springs Tribal Members on Monday, July 6th starting at 10am until 7pm. There will be a promotional fuel discount, free refreshments & giveaways, a full menu & discount available in the Three Teepee’s Café and other prizes, photo opportunities and activities for youth. The public grand opening will be on Saturday, July 11th from noon until 9 p.m. Warm Springs Tribal Member arts and craft vendors are still being sought for this event. The Warm Springs Johnson O’Malley Committee’s next scheduled meeting is on Tuesday, July 7th 5:15-8pm in conference room at the Early Childhood Education Center. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. If you need to contact the JOM Committee email JOM@wstribes.org.
Division of Child Support employees are in Warm Springs once a month at the DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be this coming Tuesday, July 7th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome. A meeting to discuss on and off reservation hunting regulations for tribal hunters will be held on Wednesday, July 8th from 5-8pm in the old school cafeteria from 5-8pm.
The Community Wellness Center is taking signups for its Cooking Around the World program this summer. Youth will learn to prepare favorite dishes from France, Italy, Hungary, Mexico & China. The first class will be on July 9. Space is limited so interested youth should sign up now at the Recreation office.
Warm Springs OSU Extension is having a hands-on Kitchen to Market workshop to learn what you need to know to sell your foods in Oregon. It’s Saturday, July 11th from 1-5pm in the Family Resource Center conference room. You’ll learn about Oregon cottage food regulations, design labels that meet state legal standards, learn how to use testing equipment for record keeping and make & can an herbal syrup. Warm Springs OSU Extension Service presents Honeybee Basics with Oregon Master Beekeepers on Sunday, July 12th from 10 to noon. Stop by a local apiary for a quick Q&A on honeybees and native bees, then suit up for a hands‑on hive inspection—protective gear, snacks, and refreshments included. Pre‑registration is required. Warm Springs Nation Summer T-Ball registration for 6- & 7-year-olds will open July 13-24. They are taking 40 players for the league which will have games in August. In person registration will be scheduled – watch for dates & times. For more information contact Liz Hisatake at InfoWSNLL@gmail.com.

Registration for Redmond Youth Tackle Football is open online at www.RedmondYouthFootball.org. The fall program is for youth in 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grades.
