• Healthy summer meals are available at no cost to all children and teens ages 1–18 today. Choose from three convenient sites: Buff Elementary, Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club, or Bridges High School. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
• The Community Wellness Center has Sandlot Softball every Thursday at 10am at the Pi-ume-sha Field. Everyone is welcome to join them for slow-pitch softball games and music every Thursday during summer break.
• The Madras Community Food Pantry will be open 10am to 1pm today. It’s located on the Culver Highway.
• The Life Raft Food Pantry in Maupin is open Thursdays from 10AM – 3PM. The Dufur School Pantry is open to students and community members Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm in the Home Ec Room. And the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry in Wamic is open on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1-4pm.
• The Thursday Market is today from 10:30am – 2pm at the Campus Pavillion. Vendors are welcome to come set up.  It’s first come, first serve for available tables and chairs.  The Thursday Market will run weekly through September 10^th.  Pick up for Veggie Rx participants will be at the Thursday Market today from 11 am – 2 pm. Please check in with Barbara at the HDFFA table. And if you are eligible and opted in, delivery will begin around 2:30 pm.
• At the Senior Center – there is Senior Fitness Class this morning 10:45 to 11:45 with a lunch for participants after.
• Thursday groups at Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center are On Second Thought at 4:00 and Embodiment Practice with Dr. Tam from 4-5:30pm. Dr. Tam’s group is open to the public.

The MountainStar Resource Bus provides diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children and will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center tomorrow (Jul 10) from 10:30-2:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month. For more information call 458-287-1080. Warm Springs OSU Extension is having a hands-on Kitchen to Market workshop to learn what you need to know to sell your foods in Oregon. It’s this coming Saturday, July 11^th from 1-5pm  in the Family Resource Center conference room. You’ll learn about Oregon cottage food regulations, design labels that meet state legal standards, learn how to use testing equipment for record keeping and make & can an herbal syrup. The Plateau Travel Plaza is inviting the community to celebrate the completion of its major expansion during a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, July 11th from noon until 9 p.m. The event begins with a cultural blessing and ribbon cutting, followed by fuel discounts, café tastings, KWSO will be there, plus a Kid Zone, prize giveaways, arts and crafts, and a drone show at 9 p.m. Warm Springs Tribal Member arts and craft vendors are still being sought for the event. Warm Springs OSU Extension Service presents Honeybee Basics with Oregon Master Beekeepers on Sunday, July 12th from 10 to noon. Stop by a local apiary for a quick Q&A on honeybees and native bees, then suit up for a hands‑on hive inspection—protective gear, snacks, and refreshments included. Pre‑registration is required. Warm Springs Community Health mobile medical clinics can help folks with medical problems, medications, STI tests and – by appointment – procedures. The next mobile medical clinic is on Monday, July 13^th from 10am to 3pm at the Sidwalter Flats Fire Station. There are also clinics scheduled for July 16^th at the Simnasho Fire Station, July 23^rd at the Thursday Market and July 28^th at the Shelter Dining Hall. Nature Kids outings are for kids and families explore the wonders of the natural world at a local park. Each outing includes a hands-on activity. Nature Kids is offered on the third Saturday of the month through October at Sahalee Park in Madras. The next outing is Saturday, July 18^th 9:30-11am. The theme is Insect Olympics! All Nature Kids are free and ideal for families with kids ages 5-10. Registration is helpful but not required. Visit DeschutesLandTrust.org to learn more.

“Red, White & Blue, This Fair is For You” is the team of the 2026 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo, which runs July 22-25 at the Jefferson County Event Complex in Madras. There is no carnival this year. Entertainment includes 11 live bands, music bingo, Jefferson County’s Got Talent and more.   The NPRA Rodeo will be Friday & Saturday nights at the fair. Admission to the fair is free, but it does cost to get into the rodeo – $15 for adults, $7 for ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 & under.

Division of Child Support employees are in Warm Springs once a month at the DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be on Tuesday, August 4th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome.
