  • Warm Springs Vital Statistics Department is requesting 2026 graduates to turn in their transcripts & diplomas as soon as possible. These may also be emailed to Vital Stats by your school counselor.
  • Committee Updates are on the Tribal Council agenda this morning – Timber; Land Use Planning; and Health & Welfare.
  • The Behavioral Health Center in Warm Springs offers an A&D Education Group every Wednesday morning at 10 that is open to anyone. Classes for current BHC clients on Wednesdays are Parenting at 11am, Adult Anger Management at 3 and a Men’s Focus Group at 4. Contact the BHC office for more information.
  • It’s Tribal Appreciation Day at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort. There is free admission for day use from 11am to 7pm. Included in the day pass – use of swimming pools, mini-golf, pickleball, basketball, bocce ball, spike ball, 4-square volleyball and interactive video games. Discounts are also offered on cabana rentals, food in the restaurant and purchases at the pool house store. Tribal Appreciation Days are open to tribal members, spouses, Warm Springs residents and tribal enterprise employees. They are held every other Wednesday through September.
  • There is a senior lunch today at noon at the Warm Springs Senior Center dining area. Senior meals are free for all elders age 60 and older. Folks can join the seniors for lunch – it’s $1 for Youth, $5 for adults or you can assist with clean-up after the meal. On the menu: salmon loaf, brown rice, carrots with walnuts, bread & fresh fruit.
  • A community remembrance for Harry Phillips will take place this afternoon at the Simnasho Longhouse beginning at 1:00. Services will include Washat, a shared meal, and an open space to recount stories honoring Mr. Phillips’ decades in our community. Drummers are asked to attend.
  • The Water Control Board meets today from 1:30 until 4 in Conference Room #3 at the Tribal Administration Building. It meets monthly on the 4th
  • Young Adults in Transitions Drop-In Center in Madras is open to people between 14 and 25 years old to hang out, build connections, and get help with next steps in life. It offers support for: mental health & well-being, education & career planning, employment readiness, housing resources, healthy relationships, budgeting & financial literacy, life skills—and so much more. It’s open Wednesdays & Saturdays, 3-7PM for youth ages 14–18 who are currently in school and Saturdays, 10AM–2PM for young adults ages 18–25 not in school. It’s located at: 241 SW 6th Street, Madras.
  • Warm Springs Nation T-Ball Registration is being taken in person in the Family Resource Center conference room today and tomorrow from 5:30-7:30pm. There is no cost to register for t-ball. Birth certificates are required to verify age. Kids need to be 6 or 7 to participate.
  • Papalaxsimisha’s pre-college summer series continues this evening at the old school cafeteria. Dinner is provided at 5:30 and the session is from 6-7:30. It’s a chance to get a head start on your college journey – learn about financial aid, applying to college, scholarships and get support on your path to college.

The Thursday Market is tomorrow from 10:30am – 2pm at the Campus Pavillion.  Vendors are welcome to come set up.  It’s first come, first serve for available tables and chairs.  The Thursday Market will run weekly through September 10th. Stop by the KWSO booth tomorrow for your chance to win tickets to one of the Indian Head Casino Summer Concerts.  Drawings will be July 30th. Pick up for Veggie Rx participants will be at the Thursday Market from 11 am – 2 pm. Please check in with Barbara at the HDFFA table. And if you are eligible and opted in, delivery will begin around 2:30 pm.

Warm Springs Community Health’s mobile medical clinic will be at the Thursday Market tomorrow. Providers can help folks with medical problems, medications, STI tests and – by appointment – procedures. Walk-ins & appointments are available with RaNeva Dowty, Dr. Frey & Nurse Shirley. The deadline for submitting the CTWS Scholarship Application has been extended to July 31st. As of July 17th, there is a 10% deduction per day applied to the annual scholarship for each day late.
