Authorities Working to Identify Remains

An investigation is underway following the discovery of human remains in the Warm Springs Agency Area.

The Warm Springs Police Department received a report Saturday morning just before 11:00 AM regarding possible human remains in the area near Indian Health Services on Kotnum Road.  Tribal police and agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene and confirmed the presence of human remains during a search of the surrounding location.

The FBI is currently leading the processing of the scene with assistance from local officers. Authorities are asking the public to stay away from the area while the investigation continues.
