KWSO COVID-19 UPDATE 3/8/21

The Warm Springs community COVID-19 Update today reports 0 (zero) new cases of COVID-19 from 51 tests conducted on Friday (3/8/21).

There are currently 2 active cases of COVID-19 on the reservation with 44 close contacts receiving daily monitoring.

VACCINATIONS

1691 primary doses, of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, have been administered with 70 more scheduled for today and tomorrow.
There is a Mass Vaccination Event scheduled for this Thursday, March 11^th at the Warm Springs Community Center. For anyone who got their first does on February 11^th – you need to check your vaccination card for your appointment time to get your second dose of the vaccine this Thursday. You can also schedule an appointment for a first dose at Thursday’s Mass Vaccination Clinic. Call 541-553-2160. Walk-ins will be accommodated as well, while supplies last.
A second Mass Vaccination Event will be held on Friday, March 19^th at the Community Center, to offer 2^nd doses to those who got shots on February 19^th at the Community Center.
Individuals can sign up for a COVID-19 Vaccine by calling 541-553-2610. You must be 18 or older and be I.H.S. eligible 18 or live or work in Warm Springs.

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms for COVID-19 can include: Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, loss of taste or smell. HOSPITALIZATION & DEATHS

81 people have been hospitalized due to COVID-19
81 people have been discharged from the hospital
22 Warm Springs people have died from COVID-19

TESTING

If you are concerned that you may have COVID-19 symptoms or you may have been exposed you can get tested at the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center. Check in at the front gate and they will direct you where to go

Positivity Rates

Last week (03/01/21-03/06/21)the testing positivity rate for Warm Springs was 1.04% (3 tests from 289 tests)
The week prior was was 2.7%
The week prior to that was 5.21%
The January testing positivity rate was 7.74%
The December 2020 rate was 10.32%
