There is no school today for 509-J students. It’s a Teacher In Service Day.
The Warm Springs Community Action Team is now scheduling tax appointments. It will be drop-off tax preparation. Pick up an envelope at the WSCAT office and appointments will be made for Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 9th.
The Hydro Panel Facility in the Industrial Park is open today for free drinking water. Warm Springs community members can stop by between 8am and 5pm to fill their containers.

Senior Fitness Class at the Senior Center is every Monday and Thursday morning at 10:45 with a lunch for participants after.
The monthly Native Aspirations meeting is today from 12-1:30pm at the old school cafeteria.
The Health & Welfare Committee is scheduled to meet today from 9am until noon at the clinic ant the Education Committee from noon to 2:30 at the Wyam Youth Center. Both committees meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.
The NeighborImpact Mobile Food Pantry will be open today outside of the Jefferson County Library in Madras from noon until 1
The Papalaxsimisha Native American Student Union at Madras High School will meet tomorrow (Feb. 3) afterschool in Mr. Kollen’s class (room 17).
Walking in Beauty through Difficult Times: A Talk by Diné Elder Lupita McClanahan is coming to Warm Springs. Raised in secrecy by traditional elders in Arizona, Lupita was hidden to preserve her family’s lineage from the boarding school system. Though eventually taken, she drew on her cultural strength to endure and overcome unimaginable challenges. Everyone is welcome to hear her stories tomorrow (Feb. 3) at the Museum at Warm Springs. There will be a meet & greet starting at 4:00, followed by storytelling. It’s free to attend.
The Warm Springs Johnson O’Malley Committee’s next scheduled meeting is tomorrow (Feb. 3) 5:15-8pm in conference room at the Tribal Administration Building. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. If you need to contact the JOM Committee email JOM@wstribes.org.

The Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center uses alternate cell phone numbers for each department when their phone system experiences disruptions. These numbers are permanent. If you have trouble reaching the clinic through the main numbers, please use the alternate cell phone contact. The alternate number for Administration is 541-965-1465, Dental 541-965-3080, Medical Desk 541-965-1712, Optometry 503-913-3402 and Pharmacy Refills 541-325-6777.
The Warm Springs Tribes offers an emergency notification system but folks need to opt in to receive messages. In the event of winter weather impacts on roads making travel hazardous for employees, there could be changes to work or service hours. The alert system communicates information to employees and the general public via e-mail messages. To participate you can sign up online or contact the Tribes’ Office of Information Systems.
Tenants of Warm Springs Housing Authority who require emergency repairs after hours or on weekends/holidays need to contact Warm Springs PD Dispatch at 541-553-1171 and request Housing’s on-call service. A qualifying emergency service would be a broken water line, backed up sewer, any electrical issues and kicked-in exterior doors. All other non-emergency work orders can be taken care of on the next business day.
