Faces of a Reservation Website

Former Spilyay Tymoo reporter Cynthia Stowell, published her book “Faces of a Reservation, A Portrait of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation” in 1987.  It won an Oregon Book Award in 1988 but is now out of print.  Cynthia visited the Reservation during the total solar eclipse, in August, and shared that her photographs from the book are now displayed on a website.

The site features portraits of Warm Springs People taken more than 30 years ago.  The photos are arranged in sections based on theme: Tradition; Play; Work: and Family/Home.

Stowell encourages folks to explore the website, which she launched to honor those whose images and stories are included in the book.  The website is: http://www.faces-of-a-reservation.com
