Community Calendar for Friday May 4, 2018
- Jefferson County Coffee Cuppers will be hosted by Madras Garden Depot, located at 1665 North Highway 26 this morning at 8.
- There is Senior Fitness class at 10:45 at the Senior Center today. PiYo Class is at noon in Pod A at the Clinic and Functional Fitness Class at noon in the Aerobics Room.
- After senior fitness class today, participants can eat lunch. Today they are having maple-glazed ribs, potato salad, zucchini bread and fruit.
- There is a Behavior Health Walk-In Clinic today – appointments are available between 1 and 5pm. The Medical Social Workers at the clinic can help with screenings, assessments, crisis intervention and many other things for children, adolescents and adults.
- Madras High School JV & Varsity Softball have home games vs. Gladstone today at4:30; the Baseball teams travel to Gladstone.
- The Jefferson County Film Center will show the movie Lady Bird, rated R, tonight at 7:30. Films are free and shown in the Rodriguez Annex, behind the library in Madras.

- The Root Feast Rodeo is this weekend at the Warm Springs Rodeo Arena. Saturday is the Kids Rodeo. Entries will be taken 9-10am and events start at 1. Admission Saturday is $3. Sunday is the Open Ranch Rodeo and PWHRA-sanctioned Wild Horse Race. Entries are 9-10am, there will be cowboy church services at 11:30 and events start at 1. Admission is $5 on Sunday. Children under 5 and Senior Citizens get in free.

Warm Springs K-8’s Summer Slam Powwow Jam is on Wednesday, May 9th. Dinner is at 4:30 and the traditional powwow is from 6-9. All drummers and dancers are welcome. Bring your hand drums! They will honor all 2018 graduates.
Honor Senior Day in Warm Springs is next Friday at the Community Center. Continental breakfast is at 8:00 am, registration begins at 9. It’s a Luau Party this year! Lunch is at noon and dinner at 5:00. All seniors eat for free, non-seniors pay $5.
The Root Feast Celebration at Nixyaawii Longhouse has been rescheduled for May 11-12. Grand Entry is at 7pm Friday. Memorials will be done on Saturday before the 7pm grand entry.
Recreation’s Spring Yard Sale is on Saturday, May 12th from 9-4:00 in the Community Center front courtyard.
The Warm Springs K8 Academy’s Spring Music Concert for grades K thru 4 is on May 16th from 5-8pm. The 5th grade concert is on May 31st and the 6-8 grade band & music concert is May 30th.
