  • Today is the monthly breakfast at the Warm Springs Senior Wellness Center. Breakfast is being served from 7:30-9:30 this morning.
  • The Range & Agriculture Committee is scheduled to meet this morning from 9 to noon at the BNR Cougar Den. The committee meets twice per month on the 2nd and 4th
  • The Food Bank at the Warm Springs Commodities warehouse is open today from 10am to 1pm. The Reservation Impact Free Food Market is this afternoon at 3:30 at the Commodities Building. It happens on the 2nd Friday of the month.
  • Papalaxsimisha’s Women’s Craft Circle will meet today from noon until 2:00 in the Family Resource Center conference room. Women are invited to bring their craft projects to work on, visit and snack.
  • Free meals for seniors 60 and older are served every Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday at the Jefferson County Senior Center at 860 SW Madison St in Madras from 12-1.
  • The Metolius Friends Food Pantry is open to all on Fridays from 4-6pm at 575 Hood Ave. You do need to bring your own bags.

Youth sports camps on Sundays will begin this coming Sunday, January 11th. The free camp offers agility training and open gym time for all youth ages 9-18 every Sunday through April 19th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the old elementary gym.

Warm Springs community members can fill containers with drinking water for free every Monday at the Hydro Panel Facility – which you will find next to the old Vehicle Pool building in the Industrial Park. It’s open Mondays from 8-5.

The 59th Annual Warm Springs All-Indian Men’s Holiday Basketball Tournament is on January 22-24 at the Community Center. Entries are due January 14th. Contact Austin Greene at 541-553-3243 for more information.

CTWS Board vacancies are being advertised for the TERO Commission, Indian Head Casino Board of Directors, Warm Springs Composite Board, Warm Springs Local Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, Warm Springs Power & Water Enterprise Board, Telco Board of Directors, Waterboard and Warm Springs Credit Board of Directors. Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume & signature on a criminal/credit background check to the office of the Secretary-Treasurer no later than 5pm on January 16th.

The Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center uses alternate cell phone numbers for each department when their phone system experiences disruptions. These numbers are permanent. If you have trouble reaching the clinic through the main numbers, please use the alternate cell phone contact. The alternate number for Administration is 541-965-1465, Dental 541-965-3080, Medical Desk 541-965-1712, Optometry 503-913-3402 and Pharmacy Refills 541-325-6777.

Tenants of Warm Springs Housing Authority who require emergency repairs after hours or on weekends/holidays need to contact Warm Springs PD Dispatch at 541-553-1171 and request Housing’s on-call service. A qualifying emergency service would be a broken water line, backed up sewer, any electrical issues and kicked-in exterior doors. All other non-emergency work orders can be taken care of on the next business day.
