Today from 11am to 7pm is a Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Day at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort. Tribal Member discounts include free admission for day use, half off of all cabana rentals, 25% off all food purchases and 10% off of pool house store items. Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Days at Kah-Nee-Ta Hot are offered on the first and last Sunday of each month.
Youth sports camps are held every Sunday in Warm Springs. The free camp offers agility training and open gym time for all youth ages 9-18 and will be held Sundays through April 19th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the old elementary gym.
There is no school tomorrow (Feb. 2) for 509J students. It is a Teacher In Service Day.
The monthly Native Aspirations meeting is being held tomorrow (Feb. 2) from 12-1:30pm at the old school cafeteria.
Walking in Beauty through Difficult Times: A Talk by Diné Elder Lupita McClanahan is coming to Warm Springs. Raised in secrecy by traditional elders in Arizona, Lupita was hidden to preserve her family’s lineage from the boarding school system. Though eventually taken, she drew on her cultural strength to endure and overcome unimaginable challenges. Everyone is welcome to hear her stories Tuesday, February 3rd at the Museum at Warm Springs. There will be a meet & greet starting at 4:00, followed by storytelling. It’s free to attend.
The Native Language Classes being offered at Warm Springs K-8 Academy after school program have been opened up to anyone in the community. Families are encouraged to join as a group. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Individuals are also welcome. Kiksht & Ichishkiin Language Classes are taught bay Radine & Ange on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:30 at the K8. The Warm Springs Johnson O’Malley Committee’s next scheduled meeting is on Tuesday, February 3rd 5:15-8pm in conference room at the Tribal Administration Building. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. If you need to contact the JOM Committee email JOM@wstribes.org.
The MAC Rec District offers swimming lessons and the next set begins February 4th. They have classes for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Check out their website to see classes and find out about scholarships. https://www.macrecdistrict.com.
The Lincoln’s Powwow Committee will have memorial releases, an opening of the longhouse floor in preparation for the 2026 powwow and a War Bonnet Ceremony. It will be February 7th starting with Washat at 9am.
A free Suicide Prevention & Education training for Warm Springs community will be held Monday, February 16th 6-7:30pm in the old school cafeteria. Participants will learn how to recognize the warning signs and what you can do to help. Register at the Warm Springs Prevention or Lines for Life Office. The Warm Springs Community Action Team is now scheduling tax appointments. It will be drop-off tax preparation. Pick up an envelope at the WSCAT and appointments will start on February 3rd through April 9th every Tuesday and Thursday.
