- Warm Springs Telecom is having a groundbreaking ceremony for the Fiber to the Home project this morning beginning at 10am at the Tribal Administration Building.
- The Madras Community Food Pantry will be open 10am to 1pm today. It’s located on the Culver Highway.
- The Life Raft Food Pantry located at 401 5th Street in Maupin serves the surrounding areas by providing food at no cost to the community Thursdays from 10AM – 3PM. The Dufur School Pantry is open to students and community members Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm in the Home Ec Room at Dufur School. And the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry on Emigrant Street in Wamic is open on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1-4pm.
- At the Senior Center – there is Senior Fitness Class this morning 10:45 to 11:45 with a lunch for participants after.

- Art Adventure Gallery is having an opening reception this evening for its new exhibit featuring the paintings and drawings of Mike Kelly. The reception is from 5:30-7pm at the gallery located on 5th Street in Madras.
The Four Columbia River Tribes set a Commercial Sturgeon Setline Fishery for The Dalles and John Day Pools that is open this morning through 6pm Saturday, January 17th and for the Bonneville Pool January 19-29. These are for setlines only.
Papalaxsimisha’s Women’s Craft Circle will meet tomorrow (Jan. 9) from noon until 2:00 in the Family Resource Center conference room. Women are invited to bring their craft projects to work on, visit and snack.
A free Suicide Prevention & Education training for Warm Springs community will be held Monday, February 16th 6-7:30pm in the old school cafeteria. Participants will learn how to recognize the warning signs and what you can do to help. Register at the Warm Springs Prevention or Lines for Life Office. Seasonal vaccines are available at the Warm Springs I H S clinic. Flu vaccine is recommended for everyone age 6 months and older. RSV vaccine is recommended for infants, pregnant women and elders. Vaccine clinic hours are daily from 9:30-11:30am, except on Wednesdays and daily from 1:30-3:30pm. Appointments are not necessary.
