Thrive Central Oregon can help connect people to local resources they are looking for – such as housing, healthcare, basic needs, benefits assistance, employment and more. There are many resources in Central Oregon, but they can be difficult to access alone. They have drop-in hours in Warm Springs and Madras once a week. Tuesdays they are available at the Warm Springs Housing Authority from 9am-noon and 1-3pm. Thursdays they are at Jefferson County Public Health 10am until 3.
The Warm Springs Commodities Food Bank, located at 4217 Holliday Street in the Industrial Park, is open 10 until 1 today.
The Madras Community Food Pantry at 370 SW Culver Highway is open 10-1 today.
Today is Senior Lunch from noon to 1 at the Warm Springs Senior Building. On the menu: hearty vegetable beef stew with a choice of bread or crackers & canned fruit.
The Jefferson County Senior Center in Madras will serve lunch today for folks 60 & older.
Warm Springs community members are invited to attend a meeting and dinner to learn about the Speedway & Saddle Butte Hybrid Wind & Solar Projects and to participate in the Tribal cultural review process for these projects. The meeting is being hosted by Warm Springs GeoVisions in coordination with the Tribal Historic Preservation Office. It will be this evening 6-8pm at the Greeley Heights Community Building. Warm Springs Health & Human Services is conducting the 2026 Point-In-Time Count, the annual homeless count, on Wednesday, January 28th from 9am to 2pm. The PIT Count assesses the number of homeless people on the reservation and gathers information about their needs. All homeless participants can get breakfast at 8am and lunch from 11-1. If you have a family member who is homeless, please ask them to attend.
A parent planning meeting for the Head Start Graduation will be held on Wednesday, January 28th at noon at ECE.
The Warm Springs K8’s Native American Student Union for 6th, 7th & 8th grade students will meet on Wednesday, January 28th from 3-4pm in the Community Room.
The Community Center is having an Elk Bugling Contest on Wednesday, January 28th. Prizes will be awarded for both adult & children – first place & runner up. Sign-ups will begin at 6pm in the gym.
Papalaxsimisha is inviting people to join them in celebrating a huge milestone. The celebration will be Thursday, January 29th 5:30pm at the Agency Longhouse. There will be one seven Waashat, a guest speaker & updates, dinner and cake.
The Miss Warm Springs Pageant will be held on Saturday, January 31st. They are seeking women age 18-24 who are interested in being a candidate. The pageant is set for January 31st at 10am at the Agency Longhouse.
Youth sports camps are held every Sunday in Warm Springs. The free camp offers agility training and open gym time for all youth ages 9-18 and will be held Sundays through April 19th from 12:30 to 2:30 in the old elementary gym.
The annual Sweetheart Sale at the Community Center is on February 6th 9am-3pm. Call 541-553-3243 to reserve a table.
The Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center uses alternate cell phone numbers for each department when their phone system experiences disruptions. These numbers are permanent.
