• The Madras Saturday Market is happening today starting at 9 and going until 2:00 at Sahalee Park. It is open to local vendors – visit SaturdayMarketMadras.com of find them on Facebook & Instagram for more information.
• The 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Traditional Parade “Honoring the Horses” is this morning at 11 starting at the old elementary school on campus and going to the powwow grounds. Lineup for participants will start at 10am with judging at 10:15. They have divisions for adult, teen and youth in several categories – walkers, traditional floats, contemporary floats & horse riders.
• The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Day Powwow continues today and tomorrow in Warm Springs. Grand entries are at 1pm both today and Sunday. KWSO will be broadcasting the powwow live.
• The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Open Rodeo is today and tomorrow starting at 1pm both days at the Warm Springs Rodeo Grounds. Admission into the rodeo today is $20 per vehicle. Tomorrow is the Kids Open Rodeo and admission is free.
• Jefferson County Veterans will have an informational table at the Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Celebration. All advocates & Veterans are welcome to stop in.  They will have lemon water available for visitors and elders.

There is a free Tai Chi class coming up on Monday, June 29th from 6-7pm in the Community Center aerobics room. It’s open to people of all skill levels.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Warm Springs 4th of July events on Saturday, July 4th, honoring the theme “250 Years of America, Time Immemorial Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.” The day kicks off with a 5k fun run/walk starting at 8am, with registration opening at 7:30 on-site and pre-registration available now at the Community Center office. St. Charles is sponsoring a breakfast for veterans at the old school cafeteria from 8-10:30am. Parade festivities begin with a 9am lineup at the old elementary school, followed by float judging at 10 and the parade starts at 11. Afterward, head to the Community Center for a BBQ at noon, a horseshoe tournament at 12:30, and family fun games on the fields starting around 1:30. The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk. There will also be a drone show from 10-10:15, before the fireworks show directly over the baseball fields. All community members are asked to pause their own fireworks during this time to observe the drones and keep the skies clear for everyone to enjoy.

Division of Child Support employees are in Warm Springs once a month at the DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be on Tuesday, July 7th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome. The Community Wellness Center is taking signups for its Cooking Around the World program this summer. Youth will learn to prepare favorite dishes from France, Italy, Hungary, Mexico & China. The first class will be on July 9. Space is limited so interested youth should sign up now at the Recreation office.

Central Oregon Community College is offering free youth camps in July & August for ages 10-15 at the Madras campus. Upcoming youth camps are Mapmaking with Watercolor, Day in the Outdoors, Theater Arts, Creative Collages, Adventure Writing and Sewing.
