- Today is the final day of the 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Day Powwow in Warm Springs. Grand entry is at 1:00.
- The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Kids Open Rodeo is today at 1:00 at the Warm Springs Rodeo Grounds. Admission is free.
The Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club is open weekdays 8-5 through the summer. Meals are not currently provided so kids should bring a breakfast and/or lunch. The 509J Summer Meals Program will start on July 6th.
The Sacred Road Summer Program for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade is happening this week behind the Warm Springs Community Center. It’s from 3-5pm Monday through Friday and includes games, crafts, snacks and bible story. No registration is necessary, kids can just show up. They will have the program every other week through the end of July.
There is a Tai Chi class tomorrow (6/29) from 6-7pm in the Community Center aerobics room. It’s free and all skill levels are welcome.
Warm Springs Community Health’s mobile medical clinics can help folks with medical problems, medications, STI tests and immunizations. The mobile clinic will be available on Tuesday, June 30 from 9-11:30am at the Shelter dining hall.
Applications are being taken for a pre-k through 2nd grade summer day camp at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. It will run July 6-17 from 9am to 4pm. Applications are available at the Education Building.
Warm Springs OSU Extension Service presents Honeybee Basics with Oregon Master Beekeepers on Sunday, July 12th from 10 to noon. Stop by a local apiary for a quick Q&A on honeybees and native bees, then suit up for a hands‑on hive inspection—protective gear, snacks, and refreshments included. Pre‑registration is required. “Red, White & Blue, This Fair is For You” is the team of the 2026 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo, which runs July 22-25 at the Jefferson County Event Complex in Madras. Carnival tickets are on sale now at El Torito Supermarket. Entertainment includes 11 live bands, music bingo, Jefferson County’s Got Talent and more. The NPRA Rodeo will be Friday & Saturday at the fair. Admission to the fair is free, but it does cost to get into the rodeo – $15 for adults, $7 for ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 & under. The “Every Kid Sports Pass” for Fall 2026 is open now. They have a new Pass Portal where families can manage everything from a single dashboard. There are no more daily cutoffs. The application stays open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the entire application window. You’ll get instant document review and easy status tracking. To qualify, your child must be on SNAP, Medicaid, or WIC, be 4 to 18 years old, and the sport must be recreational, not elite or travel and the season must last at least four weeks. Jefferson County School District 509J is accepting registrations for its 3-week summer acceleration program. Transportation and meals will be provided. Due to construction at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy, students who attend the K8 will attend the summer program at Madras Elementary School. Students who attend Madras, Buff & Metolius Elementary Schools and Jefferson County Middle School will attend the summer program at Bridges High School. 9th Grade Strong Start students and Grade 10-12 Credit Recovery programs will take place at Madras High School. The Programs will run July 20 – August 6 from 8:15am – 3pm. Register on the school district’s website.
