  • Warm Springs Vital Statistics Department is requesting 2026 graduates to turn in their transcripts & diplomas as soon as possible. These may also be emailed to Vital Stats by your school counselor.
  • Free Summer Meals Today: Friendly reminder that Madras Elementary and Madras High School are closed on Fridays. All youth 1–18 can still get free meals today at the Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club (8:15–9:00 AM / 11:00–11:45 AM) and Bridges High School (7:45–8:45 AM / 11:15 AM–12:30 PM).
  • The Community Wellness Center has a summer conditioning training session with Titus Kalama every Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning from 8:30-10.
  • The Range & Agriculture Committee meets this morning from 9 to noon at the BNR Cougar Den. They are scheduled to meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th
  • The Food Bank at the Warm Springs Commodities warehouse is open today from 10am to 1pm.
  • The MountainStar Resource Bus providing diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center today from 10:30-12:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month. For more information call 458-287-1080. You can also follow MountainStar Madras Relief Nursery on Facebook for updates.
  • Every Friday, Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center has a Relapse Prevention Group for current clients at 11am. In the afternoon, Art + Emotion Group with Dr. Largent is from 3-4pm and Wellbriety Group Therapy is from 4-5pm. These afternoon groups are open to the public.
  • Friday is Senior Lunch Day in Warm Springs. Free meals for elders 60 and older are from noon to 1 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in the Senior Wellness Center dining room. On the menu today: Indigenous beef tacos .
  • The Metolius Friends Food Pantry is open to all on Fridays from 4-6pm at 575 Hood Ave. You do need to bring your own bags.

A Berry Feast & Powwow Celebration to welcome the first berries of the year will be held this Saturday & Sunday (7/25-26) at the Hehe Longhouse. Saturday at 5pm will be a potluck meal so bring your favorite dish and the powwow starts at 7pm. The feast ceremony starts at 9am on Sunday.

The summer reading program at the Jefferson County Library is open through August 31st. Youth ages 0-18 are invited to participate. Youth will earn a prize for registering and also for reading 120 minutes each week, completing a weekly challenge and a grand prize for 960 minutes of reading! Register online at jcld.org.

Tribal members are being asked to review and provide comments on the Jones Canyon Tower Replacement Project Assessment. We have a link to the informational website and survey on today’s calendar on the KWSO website. Hard copies are also available at the Branch of Natural Resources office.
