  • Warm Springs Vital Statistics Department is requesting 2026 graduates to turn in their transcripts & diplomas as soon as possible. These may also be emailed to Vital Stats by your school counselor.
  • The Community Wellness Center has Sandlot Softball every Thursday at 10am at the Pi-ume-sha Field. Everyone is welcome to join them for slow-pitch softball games and music every Thursday during summer break.
  • The Madras Community Food Pantry will be open 10am to 1pm today. It’s located on the Culver Highway.
  • The Life Raft Food Pantry in Maupin is open Thursdays from 10AM – 3PM. The Dufur School Pantry is open to students and community members Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm in the Home Ec Room. And the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry in Wamic is open on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1-4pm.
  • The Warm Springs Thursday Market is today from 10:30am – 2pm at the Campus Pavillion. Vendors are welcome to come set up.  It’s first come, first serve for available tables and chairs.  Stop by the KWSO booth for your chance to win tickets to one of the Indian Head Casino Summer Concerts.  Drawing will be July 30th.
  • Pick up for Veggie Rx participants will be at the Thursday Market from 11 am – 2 pm. Please check in with Barbara at the HDFFA table. And if you are eligible and opted in, delivery will begin around 2:30 pm.
  • Warm Springs Community Health mobile medical clinics can help folks with medical problems, medications, STI tests and – by appointment – procedures. It will be located at the Thursday Market today. Walk-ins & appointments are available with RaNeva Dowty, Dr. Frey & Nurse Shirley. Call 541-553-2352 if you want to schedule.
  • At the Senior Center – there is Senior Fitness Class this morning 10:45 to 11:45 with a lunch for participants after.
  • Warm Springs Prevention Team is sponsoring a swim party today from 1-3pm at the Madras Aquatic Center. There will be free entry for all Warm Springs Tribal & Community members (up to 150 people), and sack lunches after the swim. Transportation is not available.
  • Thursday groups at Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center are On Second Thought at 4:00 and Embodiment Practice with Dr. Tam from 4-5:30pm. Dr. Tam’s group is open to the public.
  • Warm Springs Nation T-Ball Registration is being taken in person this evening in the Family Resource Center conference room from 5:30-7:30 and tomorrow will be the final day for signups. There is no cost to register for t-ball. Birth certificates are required to verify age. Kids need to be 6 or 7 to participate.

The MountainStar Resource Bus providing diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center Friday (7/24) from 10:30-12:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month. For more information call 458-287-1080. A Berry Feast & Powwow Celebration to welcome the first berries of the year will be held this Saturday & Sunday (7/25-26) at the Hehe Longhouse. Saturday at 5pm will be a potluck meal so bring your favorite dish and the powwow starts at 7pm. The feast ceremony starts at 9am on Sunday.

Papalaxsimisha, Warm Springs Recreation & Southern Oregon University’s “All My Relations” Program are having a summer art camp for youth July 27-29 from 9-3 in the Community Center social hall. Register with the Community Center office 541-553-3243. Families are welcome to join for a showcase of the artwork on Wednesday, July 29th at 5:30 with dinner provided.

Medical Teams International, in collaboration with Warm Springs Managed Care, will host a free dental clinic Monday, July 27th from 11am until 4pm at the Campus Pavilion. They can provide dental extractions and fillings. Appointments are not necessary and services are provided at no cost. There will also be a free urgent dental clinic in Madras on Tuesday, July 28 from 9-2 at the Madras Shelter. Space for that is limited – call for appointments 971-710-8603.

The Papalaxsimisha Reproductive Health Team is inviting all grandmas to a special morning of conversation, breakfast, playing games, and seeking valuable wisdom from our elders about their experiences with coming of age, motherhood, perimenopause & menopause—including the support they had or wished they’d had. The Seasons of Womanhood Elders Brunch is on Wednesday, July 29th 9AM–1PM in the Youth Center Gym. They will have gift bags for the first 25 grandmas in attendance; haircuts will be available on-site and incentive prizes.

Voters in the Madras Aquatic Center Recreation District will decide on August 4 whether to recall four members of the district’s board of directors. Ballots have been mailed to eligible registered voters. Completed ballots must be returned to the Jefferson County Clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day, August 4, or be postmarked by August 4 and received within the state’s allowed timeframe to be counted.

Warm Springs community members who are the primary caregivers of children under 18 are invited to participate in a conversation about what makes a community a place where people feel they belong. It’s on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:30-7:30pm in the old school cafeteria. A meal and gift card will be provided, as well as activities for children. 2026-27 Warm Springs Head Start enrollment is open now at the Early Childhood Education Center. Contact Family Services at ECE to learn more.
