Free Education Session on Dementia in Warm Springs

The Warm Springs Community Health Program is going to be offering a free education session on dementia behaviors, and it will be presented by OHSU.

Dr. Allison Lindauer, an Associate Professor at Oregon Health and Science University, will be in attendance among other notable staff.

“We’ll have time to talk about what is dementia. But then we’re going to spend most of our time talking about behavioral symptoms of dementia and why they happen.”

Dr. Lindauer will also be getting into detail about some of the common signs of behavior to look out for in dementia patients, such as wandering, refusing care, or being aggressive to a caretaker.

She as well as a few others will be answering questions pertaining to dementia.

There will also be informational and helpful programs present, such as a dental group, at this free education session hosted at the Old Elementary School Cafeteria on the Warm Springs Campus.

Again, the free educational session on dementia will be this Wednesday, July 15^th from noon until 4 PM at the Old Elementary School Cafeteria in Warm Springs.

Summer Skateboard Exhibition in Warm Springs

This Saturday, there will be a Summer Skateboard Exhibition starting at 10 AM at Elmer Quinn Park in Warm Springs.

It’ll include skaters, informational stands, door prizes, and a whole lot of fun for the whole family.

It is an alcohol and drug-free event.
