Festival of the Land is happening today at The Cove Palisades, Crooked River Day-Use Area from 10am-2pm. Admission & parking are free. Folks can enjoy hands-on activities, demonstrations, local vendors and live music.

The 5th Annual “Honoring All Head Start to College Graduates” Warm Springs Community Parade is tomorrow (Jun 7) starting at 11am. It will start at the old elementary and end at the Community Center. Show your support by lining the parade route to cheer on the graduates. Decorations will be provided for those who need them. Gas cards will be given to the first 20 vehicles
Tomorrow (Jun 7), at 11:00 AM is the 3rd Annual Pink Duck 5K at the Athletic Club of Bend to help end human trafficking in Central Oregon. This family-friendly event raises funds for the Teens Against Trafficking program. Whether you join the “Pink Duck Challenge” in person or participate virtually, your involvement helps spread awareness and provides youth with the tools to stay safe. There is Tai Chi class on Monday, June 8th from 6-7pm in the Community Center aerobics room. It’s free and all skill levels are welcome.
An event coming up at the Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center will feature a panel of community members who have successfully lost weight with Wegovy and Ozempic. People who are interested in losing weight or becoming healthier and would like to hear their personal stories and insights are welcome to attend. It’s on Wednesday, June 10th from 5-7pm in the clinic atrium. Health snacks will be provided.
Cascades East Transit will be hosting a pop-event to assist Warm Springs residents with account pass sign-ups and lost transit card replacements. Representatives will be at the Family Resource Center on Wednesday, June 10th from 9am until noon.
Warm Springs Diabetes Prevention invites youth to participate in its Strong Youth Wellness & Fitness Program. Starting June 16th, every Tuesday & Wednesday they will have fun daily workouts & games, team challenges & competitions, nutrition & health education and more. 3rd-5th grade youth will be from 1-3pm and grades 6-8 from 3:30-5:30. The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Employee Appreciation Carnival is on Friday, June 19th at the Campus Pavilion from noon until 3.
OSU Extension is looking for input from local gatherers to help co-create a huckleberry habitat management workshop for the Tribes this fall.
