Last Day of School Today – Activities Start Tomorrow

Warm Springs families have several opportunities available for children and youth this summer.

Registration is open for the three-week Summer Acceleration Program, which will provide academic enrichment in reading, language arts, math and science, along with hands-on STEM activities. Transportation and meals will be provided. Due to construction at Warm Springs K-8 Academy, students will attend the program at Madras Elementary School. Eighth graders can also earn high school credit through the Ninth Grade Strong program, scheduled July 20 through August 6 at Madras High School.

The Bustin’ Buffalo Basketball Camp begins June 10 and continues through June 12 at Madras High School. The camp is open to students entering first through ninth grades. A registration fee applies. Students in grades one through four will participate from 9 to 11 a.m., while fifth through ninth graders will attend from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Current sixth and seventh graders can sign up for a free STEM Summer Camp at COCC in Bend June 22-25. Transportation from Warm Springs and lunch are provided, but space is limited.
