Tribal Council was in session on Monday (10/20) this week.  Those present were:

Chief Delvis Heath, Chief Joseph Moses, Chief Alfred Smith Jr., Raymond Tsumpti Sr., Reuben Henry, Kahseuss Jackson, Scott Moses, Orvie Danzuka and Carlos Smith.  Secretary-Treasurer, Jake Suppah presented information about: the 20 Year History of Distributions to tribal members.  He also offered an Enterprise budget update.  He shared that Committee and Board appointments including Warm Springs Gaming Commissioners and Gaming Board would be rescheduled.  The Tribal Council Chair and Vice Chair were not present so other business was to be rescheduled as well.  Those items include: Tribal Council November agenda and travel delegation; Draft resolutions;  State and Federal Legislative updates; And Tribal Enrollments.

Tribal Council District Meetings were held this week on the proposed 2015 Budget.   A General Council meeting will be scheduled in November.   The proposed balanced budget is for $16,485,253.  Warm Springs Power & Water, Composite Products and Indian Head Casino are all contributing revenue to the general fund.   The proposal includes the transfer of $450,000 into the Revenue Reserve Fund to start building that up again.  Also $450,000 would go to the Senior Citizen Pension Fund.

In Oregon – vote by mail ballots have been sent out and registered voters are reminded to complete their ballot and mail it in to their county clerk or drop it in an authorized ballot drop box.  In Warm Springs the drop box is located across the street from the Post Office on campus in front of the old Fire and Safety Building.  Ballots need to be at the county clerk’s office or in a Ballot Drop Box by 8pm on Tuesday Nov 4^th.

The Warm Springs Eagles football team traveled to Prineville on Wednesday and beat Crook County 20-14.  The K-8 Academy football squad is 4 and 2 on the year and their last game is next Tuesday at home at 3:30.
