Voting for Warm Springs IDA Program in Strong Communities Award Contest

The Warm Springs Community Action Team is asking folks to vote for the Warm Springs IDA Program in the Strong Communities Award contest sponsored by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, and submitted by its banking partner, Columbia Bank. The award is for organizations across the country that serve communities through small business and economic development projects. This year’s rural award contest is between the Warm Springs Community Action Team and organizations in three other communities in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa. The winner will be awarded $15,000. Voting is being done online this week only. People can vote once a day through Friday. Currently, the Warm Springs Community IDA Program has 121 participants, 21 of whom are saving in small business IDA’s, 23 for education, 48 are homeownership, nine for home renovation, 17 for vehicle purchase, and three for assisted technology.
