The bill helps the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw, the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz, the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe improve their economies by resolving land and leasing issues. The House is now taking action. S.1285 is expected to clear the chamber under a suspension of the rules this afternoon, according to the Majority Leader’s schedule, meaning it is considered to be non-controversial.

Here are the results from the Root Feast Kids Rodeo: Saturday’s results – Sheep riding – 1st Emery Spino, 2nd Paityn Cortazar, 3rd Jacob Perez and 4th Jason Jim. Calf Riding – the top four places were Isaih Florendo, Dowie Suppah, Sidalee Suppah and Cage Mortenson. Cow riding – Josh Olney took first and JT Killsfirst 2nd. In Mini Buckers – Sidalee Suppah took first, followed by Alonzo Suppah and Cynthia Suppah. For Jr. Barrel Racing – Kassamira Johnson first and Brinley Holyan second. Jr. Flag race – first place was Brinley Holyan, and 2nd Kassamira Johnson. Boots Racoon won the Pewee barrel race and pewee flag race. Horseless roping winner was Brinley Holyan. On Sunday, Paityn Cortazar, Jason Jim, Emery Spino and Baleigh Lyons were to top four sheep riders. Julius Spino was first in the mini buckers. The Orrin Cortazar Team won the Wild Colt Race 7-12 year old division and the Brady David Team won the 13-17 year old division.
