School Starts Wednesday 9/7

The school year for most students in the Jefferson County School District 509J, begins this Wednesday.  1st through 8th grade at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy, 6th grade students at the Jefferson County Middle School and 9th grade youth at Madras High School all begin the new school year that day.  At JCMS 7th-8th and at MHS 10th – 12th begin on Thursday 9/8.  Thursday – half the Kindergarten students attend at WSK8 and the other half attend on Friday 9/9.

School at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy starts each day at 8:55am and students should be at school by 8:45am.  Motorists are reminded to use caution while driving in any school zones.  In Greeley Heights, students are walking to the WSK8 so drivers need to be expecially careful.
