Snow Causes Late Start & Early Release

Following a 10am delayed start time for the first day  of work back from the New Year Holiday – Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and Bureau of Indian Affairs Offices are closing early today, Tuesday January 3, 2017.

BIA offices closed at 3:30pm with Tribal Operations sending employees home at 4pm.  The Warm Springs Indian Health Services Clinic will remain open but only with limited services and a skeleton crew between 4-5pm.

The Jefferson County 509-J and South Wasco County school districts cancelled classes today due to snowy road conditions, not safe fr transporting students on buses.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 4pm Tuesday to 4pm Wednesday for additional snow, breezy conditions making for blowing snow and colder temperatures.  Overnight lows expected in the single digits.  Tomorrow’s highs in the teens.
