The 5th annual Jim Pepper Native Arts Festival is Saturday September 30, 2017 at Parkrose High School from 11am – 7pm (http://www.jimpepperfest.net/).
The event will feature live music from Native Musicians including The Flying Eagles, who played at the Warm Springs Family Jamobree Day in August. The band also headlined the KWSO 30th anniversary concert a year ago at Indian Head Casino. They are a Jim Pepper Tribute Band who also performed at Pepperfest 2016 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58X1qeXfwS8)
Jim Pepper, of Kaw and Creek heritage, grew up in Portland, Oregon was a world class musician and saxaphone player. The Jim Pepepr Native Arts Festival honors his legacy and celebrates Native American musicians today.
