Tenino Fire Update 8/21/18 7:30am

The Tenino fire held at 9431 acres yesterday with 8 new crews arriving to help improve the perimeter of the fire – focusing on hot spots.

Local management of the fire will change from a Type 3 to a Type 4 team.

The plan is to increase containment today with everyone staying safe.

The Tenino fire was one of several fires that was sparked last Thursday night by lightning.

Everyone is reminded that fire conditions are extreme and to remain aware of your surroundings both locally and in the forest.
