Power was restored before 9:30am by Pacific, Power and Light following an outage caused by a tree alling on a power line just before 5:45am.
Because of the power outage and since the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and BIA offices were scheduled for an early release at noon for the Christmas Holiday – work is cancelled today.
The Indian Health Services Clinic is open today 9:30am – 12pm. Anyone with medication refills should pick them up by 11 this morning, so you have your meds for the long holiday weekend.

A tree fell on a power line along Highway 26 at milepost 104.5 near Indian Head Casino causing a power outage just before 5:45am this morning.
The Warm Springs Agency Area and Sidwalter are without power.
PPL estimates power restoration by 8:30am.
Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Secretary-Treasurer/CEO Glendon Smith made the decision to cancel work for Tribal Offices today due to the outage with the uncertainty of when power would be restored and because it was an early closure today anyway, for the Christmas Holiday.

Power is out in Warm Springs this morning.
PPL is reporting 991 customers without power.
The outage occurred just before 5:45 this morning.
PPL says crews have been dispatched and the initial estimate for restoration is 6:30 this morning.
