• Today is Juneteenth, which is a federal holiday. IHS programs at the Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center are closed today. The Warm Springs Boys & Girls Club is also closed today.
• The Human Resources & Comp & Benefits offices are closed today to manage the employee appreciation event. Both offices will resume regular business hours on Monday.
• Every Friday, Warm Springs Behavioral Health Center has a Relapse Prevention Group for current clients at 11am. In the afternoon, Art + Emotion Group with Dr. Largent is from 3-4pm and Wellbriety Group Therapy is from 4-5pm. These afternoon groups are open to the public.
• Friday is Senior Lunch Day in Warm Springs. Free meals for elders 60 and older are from noon to 1 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in the Senior Wellness Center dining room. Today is the monthly cookout and they are serving steaks & hot dogs, pasta salad, pork & beans and fresh fruit.
• The Employee Appreciation Carnival is today from noon to 3 at the Campus Pavilion. This event is for tribal and enterprise employees only, so please bring your employee‑issued ID. You can enjoy music and various carnival booths that have drinks, snacks & games. Warm Springs Prevention and Health and Human Services is providing a BBQ for all employees. Raffle drawings begin at 2:30, and you do not need to be present to claim a prize. The day will conclude with a basketball showdown at 3.
• The Sacred Road Summer Program for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade is happening today behind the Warm Springs Community Center from 3-5pm. They will have the program every other week through the end of July.
• The Metolius Friends Food Pantry is open on Fridays from 4-6pm at 575 Hood Ave. You do need to bring your own bags.
• Legends Reloaded at the Jefferson County Event Complex today and tomorrow celebrates the music of rock’s most iconic artists with a long lineup of tribute bands. It’s an all-ages event and kids 12 & under can attend for free. Gates open at 6 this evening and the show starts at 7. Tomorrow, gates open up at noon and the music starts at 1. A memorial and headstone dedication for Trayce Sam-Smith, son of Mileena Edwards & Troy Sam-Smith, will take place tomorrow (Jun 20). At 9am, they will meet at the Agency Cemetery and go to the Agency Longhouse after for one seven. Rejoining, giveaway and a meal will follow. Everyone is welcome.

All Warm Springs residents are welcome to a Wellness & Vaccine Clinic tomorrow (Jun 20), from 9am to noon. Free dog and cat services include vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and treatment for minor infections. No appointments are needed.

Mission 517 is hosting a gathering at the Warm Springs Full Gospel Church this Saturday (6/20) at noon.  Jessie Spino will be the guest speaker.  Lunch will be served.

Nature Kids outings are for kids and families to explore the wonders of the natural world at a local park and include a hands-on activity. There’s an outing tomorrow (Jun 20) at Sahalee Park in Madras from 10:30-noon. The theme is Wild Inventors! All Nature Kids are free and ideal for families with kids ages 5-10. COCC is offering a GED class at the Madras campus Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7:20pm beginning next week (Jun 22). Register on the COCC website.

A Warm Springs Tribal Community Energy Fair will be held Tuesday, June 23^rd 9am to 3pm at the campus pavilion. The event will include interactive activities , giveaways, educational opportunities, info on the Tribes’ current & potential energy projects and more. Raffle prizes, including e-bikes & kids-only giveaways, free meals provided by local food carts & home efficiency & weatherization supply giveaways will be available on a limited basis.

A Treaty Day BBQ, courtesy of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal Council, will be held on Thursday, June 25. Tribal Council will barbecue the hamburgers and hotdogs.  It will start at 11 and continue until the food runs out at the Community Center Pavillon.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Warm Springs 4th of July events on Saturday, July 4th, honoring the theme “250 Years of America, Time Immemorial Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.” The day kicks off with a 5k fun run/walk starting at 8am, with registration opening at 7:30 on-site and pre-registration available now at the Community Center office. Parade festivities begin with a 9am lineup at the old elementary school, followed by float judging at 10 and the parade starts at 11. Afterward, head to the Community Center for a BBQ at noon, a horseshoe tournament at 12:30, and family fun games on the fields starting around 1:30. The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk. There will also be a drone show from 10-10:15 that night directly over the baseball fields.

Applications are being taken for a pre-k through 2^nd grade summer day camp at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. It will run July 6-17 from 9am to 4pm. Applications are available at the Education Building.
