• The Simnasho Tribal Market is open today 10am – 2pm by the Simnasho Longhouse.  Tribal Vendors are welcome and visitors are encouraged.

The Warm Springs Community Wellness Center will have a free youth fitness program this summer – it starts tomorrow (Jun 22). It will include an hour a day of fun challenges for all ages. For more information talk to Hamley at the Community Center.

COCC is offering a GED class at the Madras campus Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7:20pm beginning this week. Register on the COCC website.

The Warm Springs Helping Hand Food Pantry is open Mondays 12:30-4pm at the Presbyterian Church. Due to a closure at the food bank this past Friday, they were unable to get produce for tomorrow’s Helping Hand Food Pantry. They will NOT have any fresh produce this Monday (Jun 22). They are also running low on bags and ask people to bring their own reuseable shopping bags for their items.

There is a Tai Chi class tomorrow (Jun 22) from 6-7pm in the Community Center aerobics room. It’s free and all skill levels are welcome.

The “Every Kid Sports Pass” for Fall 2026 opens Tuesday, June 23 at 10am. They have a new Every Kid Sports Pass Portal where families can manage everything from a single dashboard. There are no more daily cutoffs. The application stays open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the entire application window. You’ll get instant document review and easy status tracking. To qualify, your child must be on SNAP, Medicaid, or WIC, be 4 to 18 years old, and the sport must be recreational, not elite or travel and the season must last at least four weeks. A Warm Springs Tribal Community Energy Fair is coming up this Tuesday (Jun 23) 9am to 3pm at the campus pavilion. It will include interactive energy-focused activities & giveaways,  educational opportunities, info on the Tribes’ current & potential energy projects and more. Raffle prizes, free meals provided by local food carts & home efficiency & weatherization supply giveaways will be available on a limited basis.

There’s a 1-Day Solar Training being offered on Wednesday (Jun 24) from 10-2:30 at the Greeley Heights Community Building. You can learn all about solar and explore careers in the solar industry. To sign up, email Janaya Brunoe at janaya.brunoe@wstribes.org.

A Treaty Day BBQ, courtesy of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal Council, will be held on Thursday, June 25. Tribal Council will barbecue the hamburgers and hotdogs.  It will start at 11 and continue until the food runs out at the Community Center Pavillon.

The 2026 Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Powwow is next weekend (6/26-28) in Warm Springs. Grand entry times are 7pm Friday, 1pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday. For powwow information contact Robinson Mitchell 541-325-2968. Vendors can contact Sharon Katchia 541-295-6046.

Division of Child Support employees are in Warm Springs once a month at the DHS office providing in-person assistance with completing forms and answering questions about child support. They are there on the first Tuesday of every month and their next visit will be on July 7th from 1-3pm. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome. Jefferson County School District 509J is accepting registrations for its 3-week Summer Acceleration Program.  Transportation and meals will be provided. Due to construction at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy, students who attend the K8 will attend the summer program at Madras Elementary.  Students who attend Madras, Buff & Metolius Elementary Schools and Jefferson County Middle School will attend the summer program at Bridges High School. The 9th Grade Strong Start and the Grade 10-12 Credit Recovery programs will take place at Madras High School. All of these summer programs will run July 20 – August 6 from 8:15am – 3pm. The Warm Springs Police Department has temporarily contracted with Frontier Regional 911 to assist with dispatch during overnight hours. Frontier is handling all 911 and emergency dispatch services for the Warm Springs PD between the hours of 6pm and 6am. During these hours, community members who need non-emergency assistance from the police department should call 541-384-2080.
